The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1586

Could that really be Mrs. Blair?

People said Mrs. Blair was still in school.

No wonder everything just clicked.

No wonder Anthony always left his ringer on during meetings. The moment his phone vibrated, he’d grab it, not even trying to hide his anticipation.

Anthony, the definition of a wife guy. Who would’ve thought?

“Okay,” he said.

Anthony listened to Charlotte with the kind of patience that would shock anyone in business. He agreed to everything, his tone gentle and sweet. “See you in two hours, baby.”

He ended the call and put his phone down, lifting his chin as he caught sight of the stunned crowd. Hundreds of faces stared in disbelief. His refined features pinched with a tiny frown.

“Let’s keep going.”

Anthony’s brows stayed knit as he put his phone within reach, his face settling back into that sharp, authoritative look everyone in the company knew so well. It was as if that soft-spoken man on the phone had never existed at all.

...

An hour and a half later, the meeting finally wrapped up.

Anthony rubbed the back of his neck, trying to relieve the tension, and got up to leave.

“Anthony, here’s the proposal stuff the women from the executive team submitted last time.”

Hans hurried to catch up, pressing a thick folder labeled “Proposal Master Plan” into his hands.

“Thanks.”

Anthony took it without really looking, but as he flipped through the pages, his eyebrows drew together in disbelief.

There were three scenarios:

First: Bring your girlfriend to a fake engagement party, pretend to be guests, then flip the script and turn it into your own proposal. Make her cry.

Second: Pretend to fall off a building, girlfriend chases after you, then you reveal your epic proposal at the scene. Make her cry.

Third: Book out a whole venue for the occasion, then propose. The end goal—yep, make her cry.
