The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1595

Cabinda University

Shirley finished up her work, stretched her neck, and headed out with three bags of snacks hugged to her chest. She looked genuinely happy, almost humming as she walked.

But just as she rounded a corner, someone crashed into her out of nowhere.

She tried to hold onto everything and dodge, but the other person moved too quickly. Shirley barely had time to react. Snacks tumbled from her arms, scattering across the wet ground.

The rain earlier had left puddles everywhere, and a bunch of her snacks landed right in the water, splashing up mud. Her heart sank. Carefully, she crouched down, feeling a real ache in her chest as she picked up each snack, one by one.

She didn’t have any tissues, so after hesitating for a few seconds, she used her sleeve to gently wipe the wrappers, trying to save whatever she could. Parrish had texted her earlier, saying Andrew spent hours picking out these snacks and then trudged all the way from Kingswood University under the blazing sun, just to bring them to her.

She wasn’t about to waste good food, and there was no way she’d throw away Andrew’s thoughtful gesture.

While she was still wiping off a chocolate bar, a loud, harsh sound came from right next to her.

Someone in expensive Hermès flats stomped down hard on a pastry, grinding it into the muddy pavement.

Shirley's fingers went still. Slowly, she looked up and found herself meeting the eyes of a young woman. They were about the same height, but this girl was all elegance: long shiny hair, flawless makeup, and every bit of her outfit screamed designer. She looked Shirley up and down with a cool, unreadable stare.

That look...

Shirley frowned, seriously trying to remember if she’d seen this woman before. Her memory was good, and she was sure they’d never met… but her face still seemed strangely familiar.

“What are these, just a bunch of junk?” The girl said it so smoothly, as if it was obvious.
