The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1630

Anthony’s eyes narrowed with a sly smile. After pulling off his own proposal, watching everyone else struggle to win over their girlfriends had become his new favorite pastime. It was actually pretty entertaining.

Once everyone else had left, Anthony made his way back to Charlotte. He slipped off his jacket and draped it over her shoulders with care.

“Did you eat enough?” He rolled up his sleeves with that natural charm of his, grabbed a napkin, and gently wiped away the chili on her fingers. His voice was soft. “All full? Ready to head home?”

The air down by the shore was chilly at night. It was easy to catch a cold if you weren’t careful.

Charlotte nodded. She really was full, so she put her chopsticks down without protest.

“Let’s go.” Anthony stood up, took her hand, and pulled her close in a hug.

But Charlotte just stood there, unmoving.

“What’s wrong?” Anthony grinned at her, noticing how she snuggled in his arms but had no intention of walking.

“Tired. My legs aren’t working,” Charlotte muttered, hands buried in her pockets, pouting a little.

He saw right through her. Of course he did.

“Come on,” Anthony crouched down in front of her and spoke softly. “I’ll give you a piggyback ride.”

Charlotte’s eyes sparkled. She smiled, climbed up onto his back, and wrapped her arms around his neck, holding on like it was the most natural thing in the world.

Anthony reached carefully for her legs, lifting her up securely before strolling along the beach. The sand crunched beneath his shoes in the quiet, mixing with the gentle sound of the waves. Everything about the moment felt soft and peaceful, like it could last forever.

“Those last few days you were always so busy… you were working on the drone show, weren’t you?” Charlotte looked up at the sky, then leaned in close to his ear, whispering.
