The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1674

“She’s already back in her dorm, waiting for the school to decide what happens next. The whole situation has been looked into.” Hartley poured Patricia a glass of water and handed it over carefully. “Honestly, a student like that just isn’t worth your attention.”

Patricia let out a low huff. Even though her face was marked by age, it still held a kind of regal authority, and right now it was twisted with anger. “And since when do you get to make decisions for me?”

Hartley’s face fell and he quickly nodded. “Of course.” Without another word, he sent someone to bring Shirley back.

Down in the audience, reporters stood ready, their cameras aimed and microphones at their lips. Everyone was waiting, eager to see what Patricia would do next.

From the look of it, Patricia was planning to handle Shirley herself.

Meanwhile, outside, Dorothy’s car pulled up at the entrance. The moment she stepped out, she almost bumped right into Andrew, who rushed past her in a hurry.

“Did you see what’s blowing up online?” Dorothy fell in step behind him, lips curled in a smile that didn’t quite reach her eyes. “Seriously, she’ll do anything for money.”

Andrew didn’t answer. He was too worried about Shirley to get dragged into another argument with his mom, so he picked up his pace.

“I told you she wasn’t anything special,” Dorothy said, jogging to keep up. Her voice was sharp and accusing. “From now on, keep your distance from her.”

Andrew stopped cold. He spun around, jaw set, his eyes icy. “That’s enough. Shirley would never do something like that. There’s got to be some mistake.”

Nobody believed her. Andrew could imagine how lost Shirley must be feeling right now.

Dorothy let out a mocking laugh. “A mistake? The whole internet’s seen those chat logs. You really think that’s fake?”

“And another thing, Patricia’s the donor. This drama made her so mad she even came down to The Cabinda University herself to demand answers.” Mentioning Patricia clearly put Dorothy in a good mood. She added with a satisfied smirk, “You always listen to Patricia, don’t you? Well, if she doesn’t approve, good luck ever marrying Shirley.”

Grandma?

The word hit Andrew hard. His brows drew together as he clenched his teeth and dashed into the building. He had to talk to his grandmother. Shirley was a good person. She would never do this.

Watching her son rush off, shock on his face, Dorothy’s smile only grew. “Let’s go see how Patricia handles this,” she said, sounding almost giddy.
