The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1835

"Boss, we've got movement!" Adonis had barely finished speaking when one of his men sprinted over. "Pandora tried to run! We've got her intercepted!" Run? Hearing this, the icy girl lazily lifted her gaze, a dark laugh rumbling in her throat. "She crashed right into my hands. Heaven has no roads, and hell has no doors. Where exactly does she think she's running to?!" The massive group marched toward the mansion. Jackson and Adonis's men completely blocked every exit of The Byron Family's estate. The Byron Family's security guards tried to push back, causing a minor scuffle. In the ensuing chaos, the expensive front gates and massive glass windows were completely shattered. Pandora's suitcase was violently kicked into the decorative pool, floating pitifully in the dirty water. "Who do you think you are?" Pandora's mother stared at the towering, terrifying men, her face draining of color. "This is trespassing! I'll sue all of you!" "Mom..." Pandora cowered behind her mother, looking just as terrified. "What are you idiots doing? Throw them out!" Pandora's mother shrieked at her security detail. Pandora's flight was taking off soon. She wasn't sure if Shirley would trace the leak back to them, but to be completely safe, she needed her daughter out of the country. Out of sight, out of mind. Once she was gone, there was nothing they could do. "Ma'am, we..." The Byron Family guards looked at the menacing men in black like mice facing a hawk. They hesitated, refusing to step forward. They were completely outmatched. "Useless!" Pandora's mother gritted her teeth. "Call the cops! I want to see who thinks they can act like kings in our home!" "No need to call anyone." Just as her voice dropped, Charlotte strolled into view, her expression a mask of pure apathy. "I'm the one taking over here." "Boss!" At the sight of her, the men in black instantly parted into two neat rows, respectfully clearing a path. "Who is..." Pandora's mother frowned at the unfamiliar girl, failing to register who she was at first. "Mom!" Pandora hadn't expected Charlotte to track them down a mere hour after the news broke. Her blood ran cold, her knees buckled, and she stuttered out, "T-That's Charlotte!" Charlotte? The same Charlotte who got Karan and Ollie expelled from The Cabinda University?! If she remembered correctly, this was the girl who had recently married the heir of The Blair Group. First, she used her status as the princess of The Gates Family to force Karan and Ollie out. Now she had married into The Blair Family and thought she was completely untouchable? Crashing into their home to threaten them?! "Charlotte, is it?" Realizing who she was, the mother's arrogance dialed back slightly, but her eyes remained sharp. "Our family might not compare to The Gates or The Blair families, but we are still a prominent, respected household in Cabinda. Breaking into our home and threatening us with an army of men—don't you think you've crossed a line?!" "Crossed a line?" Charlotte stopped in her tracks, a faint smirk playing on her lips while her eyes remained terrifyingly cold. "You think it's perfectly fine to bully my people, but when I retaliate, it's crossing a line? Who made the Byron family the kings of the world?" Charlotte glanced at the nearby stone planter. Adonis instantly understood, ripping off his jacket and tossing it over the stone. "Have a seat, Boss." "I let her off the hook last time because Gallagher and Patricia were acquaintances." Charlotte sat down, crossing one leg over the other. Beneath the brim of her cap, her dark eyes gleamed with malice. "But it seems she has a death wish and is begging for a lesson." As she spoke, her gaze slid slowly toward Pandora.
