The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 2046

Son or daughter, it made no difference.

As long as they were born to Lottie, he would spoil them endlessly.

'Thank you, Lottie.'

Coming to terms with the fact that his dream of having a daughter was crushed, Anthony leaned over and gently kissed his wife. His voice was husky and trembling with emotion. 'Thank you for giving me two incredibly beautiful babies.'

'Not disappointed?'

Charlotte narrowed her eyes, an amused smirk playing on her lips. 'Don't you want a daughter?'

'This is enough.'

Anthony shook his head, softly squeezing his son's tiny hand, his tone naturally softening. 'I can't be greedy. Besides...'

He paused, leaning close to her ear to murmur meaningfully, 'If I really want to spoil a daughter, I already have one right here.'

Charlotte glared at him, grinding her teeth with a dangerous glint in her eyes. 'Keep dreaming.'

Seeing the couple whispering intimately, the doctor finally mustered the courage to interrupt. 'Excuse me, Mr. and Mrs. Blair.'

Anthony's heart pounded against his ribs, dread washing over him. He couldn't even stomach the thought of what might have happened if the cure had failed.

Charlotte knew he would be furious, but she hadn't expected that even a daughter wouldn't immediately extinguish his anger.

Now, Mrs. Blair was genuinely a little panicked. She forced a bright smile and blinked innocently. 'Yep. A daughter.'

They had both a son and a daughter now.

'Mr. Blair, the little sister's name is...?'

The doctor asked, completely terrified. 'We can't delay this paperwork.'

Anthony took a moment to steady his raging emotions. He looked down at the delicate, sleeping bundle in his arms, looking exactly like her mother, and his feelings tangled into a complicated knot.

After a long silence, he finally spoke in a low, raspy voice. 'Her name is...'
