The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 704

Kenneth had sent out a warning. The Gates Family stepped in.

Within half an hour, every piece of news about Charlotte disappeared from the internet, wiped clean as if it had never existed. In its place, headlines everywhere were suddenly obsessed with Charlotte’s beauty. Her photos took over every trending list.

The media had always thought Charlotte was almost unreal with how pretty she was, but because of the “dating multiple guys” gossip, they’d never dared to say anything nice. Now, it was like they couldn’t stop. Her face, her figure, the way she carried herself, even the way a single strand of her hair fell—everything sparked long, gushing posts.

People online were sharing, commenting, and bookmarking at lightning speed. But buried in the flood of compliments, a handful of sarcastic comments still popped up.

Hater1: Heard Kenneth’s sister grew up in the sticks. Besides being smart, she doesn’t really have much going for her.

Hater2: Rumor is Kenneth never defended her because Charlotte’s insecure, feels like she doesn’t belong in the Gates Family. She was scared people would look down on her if her real background came out.

Hater3: At least she knows her place. Kenneth’s a celebrity, Donald and Roger are both super accomplished… This so-called little princess is honestly just average.

Hater4: Not sure if I should say this, but Charlotte really isn’t good enough to be Kenneth’s sister.

Five minutes later, Kenneth posted again.

Kenneth: My new album just passed ten million in sales. Huge thanks to Echo for the music. @Charlotte

He attached a video of Charlotte sitting on stage, playing Echo’s famous song—start to finish.

With the video and Laura’s words, Charlotte’s identity was undeniable. Suddenly, all the haters who’d said Charlotte didn’t deserve to be Kenneth’s sister were nowhere to be found.

Someone even dug up the fact that one of those haters was not just a fan of Kenneth, but also a die-hard Echo fan.

Talk about stepping on a landmine. One comment, and they’d managed to insult both their idols at once. That person was probably hiding in a corner, wishing they could disappear.

In the lounge, Charlotte sat on the sofa, staring at the wall clock with a look of quiet frustration, counting down the seconds.
