The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 750

On the other side of the city, Charlotte had just changed into fresh clothes and was striding out of the hotel, her long legs moving with purpose.

“Charlotte.”

Jackson was already outside, waiting. The moment he saw her, he rushed to open the car door. “Everything’s set at the airport. No issues at all.”

Charlotte nodded, slid into the back seat, and, almost out of habit, pulled out her phone to check her socials.

She’d messaged Anthony ten minutes ago.

Still no reply.

Usually, Anthony was quick. He never took more than five minutes to get back to her. And tonight was a big deal. The finals had been streamed worldwide. He must have seen the video of her winning.

But half an hour had passed since it all ended, and Anthony hadn’t said a word.

Charlotte frowned, her perfect features tightening in annoyance as she stared out the window.

She was pissed.

Adonis, lounging in the front passenger seat, caught her sulking reflection in the rearview mirror and grinned. “Charlotte, maybe Anthony’s just trying to surprise you. That’s why he hasn’t replied yet.”

A surprise? Shouldn’t he be calling her first thing? Didn’t he miss her at all?

Charlotte checked her phone again. Still nothing. Her frown deepened.

After a quiet moment, she couldn’t hold back anymore. She picked up her phone, just about to dial Anthony’s number, when another call came in.

It was from one of the old patriarchs at N Organization.

Charlotte pressed her lips together, answered, and her tone was frosty. “Hello.”

“N, you’re already at our doorstep. Why not come home?” The old man’s voice was warm, almost teasing.

“Nope. One more try.”

Charlotte’s patience ran out. Her brows pinched together, and her voice was sharp. “I have no idea.”

“How about this? Come back to headquarters and I promise you’ll love your present,” the patriarch coaxed. “This gift—”

Charlotte hung up before he could finish.

“Hey!” The old man stared at his phone, annoyed. He called back, only to realize he’d been blocked.

Fuming, he muttered under his breath, “With that temper, what guy would ever like her?”

Honestly, he suspected this so-called boyfriend of hers must’ve been forced into it.

How’s the situation with God going?
