Mahoney’s face drained of color, and he almost sprang out of his seat. He had locked that report away himself. How on earth had the lawyer managed to find it?

Charlotte gave a calm, almost lazy smile. “Mahoney forged that transfer document to get his hands on Stella’s mother’s assets. He worked with Fedelia to abuse Stella, and then sent her away to survive on her own. Just looking at what they did, it’s obvious they planned to get rid of her from the very start. They didn’t just think about it, they acted on it.”

They had dug up everything. Proof that Fedelia faked a miscarriage and blamed it on Stella, plus Stella’s hospital records after being beaten. All of it was out in the open.

Fedelia and Mahoney just stared in shock.
