The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 892

“I’m really not mad at you,” Charlotte said, settling comfortably into her chair. Her fingers played absently with the stack of papers in her lap, a small, amused smile on her lips.

“So…” Franco hesitated, unsure what to make of her mood.

Was this forgiveness?

“We might be family, but as the saying goes, even siblings keep their accounts straight.” Charlotte glanced up at him, her face suddenly serious, her words clear and deliberate. “Just pay back what N Organization lost.”

“I’ll pay!” Franco didn’t even need a second to think. “Whatever the amount is, I’ll cover it!”

If money could fix this, then he was all in.

“You said it, not me. I’m not forcing you.”

“I know. I want to pay.”

“Alright then, here’s your chance to make it right.” Charlotte pressed her lips together, trying not to laugh, her voice lazy and teasing. “Since we’re related, I’ll give you a discount. Just two billion.”

Two billion?

The room went silent. Every face turned to Charlotte in shock.

Jackson and Adonis shot each other a look, both of them swallowing hard.

The cargo Franco had taken was worth less than a billion. Based on what they knew of Charlotte, they thought she’d ask for a billion, maybe a bit more.

No one expected her to go this hard.

Noticing everyone’s stunned faces, Charlotte took a sip of juice and spoke up, completely unfazed. “The cargo itself isn’t even worth a billion, but the value it could’ve created? That’s impossible to measure. Two billion is honestly generous.”

She let her gaze settle on Franco, her smile turning sweet. “Don’t you think so, Dad?”

Franco let out a cold snort. He clearly wasn’t ready to let Anthony off the hook. But then he saw the look in Charlotte’s eyes and some of the anger faded.

“Everyone else, out.”

He was still the leader of ApexX Organization, after all. He could let Anthony keep a bit of dignity.

The guards and maids all slipped away.

Now, the huge hall felt almost empty, just Charlotte, Anthony, and Franco sitting there. Franco’s glare only grew sharper as he looked at Anthony.

Charlotte took another sip of juice and blinked at her father. “Dad…”

“Lottie, let him talk,” Franco interrupted, not looking away from Anthony. “I want to hear what he has to say.”

He needed to know exactly how this guy had managed to win over his nineteen-year-old daughter.
