The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 962

Today, Charlotte was basically a three-year-old. No one could convince Anthony otherwise. He just shook his head with a helpless smile, patted her gently, and said, “Lottie, don’t bully the little kids.”

“I’m not,” Charlotte answered, her face giving nothing away. She ate half her ice cream, then shot Anthony a sneaky glance.

Anthony stopped walking. His eyes, deep and dark like the ocean, locked onto hers.

Charlotte blinked, confused. Before she could figure out what he was doing, Anthony’s fingers lifted her chin. He leaned in, and suddenly his lips brushed hers, warm and soft against the cold from her ice cream.

She barely had time to react. The ice cream in her mouth was gone, stolen by his kiss. Then, before she could even process that, he took the cone right out of her hand.

“It’s too cold. You only get half,” he said, his voice low.

Charlotte’s mind went totally blank. She didn’t snap out of it until she heard his voice again. She gave him a glare, but still slipped her hand into his without a word, letting him lead her away.

After a while, Charlotte got bored. She couldn’t stop thinking about that two billion dollars. Two billion… Just imagine how many vials of medicine she could buy. The more she thought about it, the more annoyed she got. She pulled out her phone and started searching for information.

The Hawk Family had their hands in everything: finance, healthcare, manufacturing. All of it running like a well-oiled machine. But the fastest way to make money? The casino, of course.

Being chased had put Charlotte in a foul mood. She was determined to settle the score with Aloys.

“Anthony, want to do something a little wild tonight?” she asked, her voice light but challenging.

At that, Anthony’s eyelid twitched. He shot her a look, sharp and searching.

Wild, huh?

Fifteen minutes later, their sports car rolled up to the casino entrance.

The last time she’d stepped into a casino was at Apex. She’d accidentally won a small fortune from Anthony and somehow ended up fighting with him, too.

Now, standing at the table and seeing the chips stacked up, Charlotte’s fingers curled with excitement, her eyes lighting up.

They wanted to chase her down? Strap her to an operating table?

Charlotte pressed her lips together, a cold spark in her eyes. She leaned in close to Anthony and whispered, “Partners? Lend me two hundred grand.”

Anthony just grinned and handed her his phone. “Password’s your birthday.”

“Pleasure doing business with you,” Charlotte said, transferring the money with a little sigh.

Now, which game should she play first?
