Chapter 95
ASTRA
“Oh my God, what’s going on?
“Have I done something wrong?
My hands were shaking as I grabbed more napkins from the side table and leaned forward to gently press them againsttlie masked man’s nose. Blood was still trickling down, and he hadn’t moved. He just sat there, staring at me through the mask with those intense dark eyes.
“I-I’m sorry, sir,” I whispered, voice trembling. “Did I do something wrong? I can get you more tissues or..”
Before I could finish, his large hand suddenly shot up and wrapped around my throat.
I froze in pure terror, eyes widening.
*He’s going to hurt me.*
My heart slammed against my ribs. I was already so scared, so overwhelmed, and now this stranger had me by the neck in a private booth. I squeezed my eyes shut, waiting for pain.
But instead of squeezing, he pulled me closer.
He leaned in and pressed his masked face against my collarbone, then slowly dragged his nose up the side of my neck. He inhaled deeply, long, slow, almost greedy gulps of breaths.
“Fuck… you smell so good,” he growled, voice low and hoarse.
I stiffened completely.
That voice…
It was deep, rough, and painfully familiar. The scent of him, cedarwood, something dark and masculine cut through the club’s mix of alcohol, and perfume. It wrapped around me like a memory I couldn’t quite reach.
But it couldn’t be.
It couldn’t.
I was imagining things. I was scared and exhausted and my mind was playing tricks on me.
The man kept his hand around my throat, not tight enough to truly hurt, but firm enough to hold me in place as he breathed me in again, like he was savoring every inch of my scent.
My legs trembled and my heart was racing so fast I felt dizzy.
“Sir…” I whispered shakily.
He didn’t answer.
And for one terrifying second, I almost believed the voice in my head.
*Zane.*
But that was impossible.

Chapter 95
Right?
His hand stroked slowly down the side of my neck, rough calloused palm sending shivers and unwanted tingles straight to my stomach. The touch was possessive, and almost gentle, but it made my skin burn. Then his hand moved lower, over my waist, my open thigh, squeezing the soft flesh there.
I shivered hard.
My pussy throbbed shamefully between my legs, growing wetter despite everything. I felt disgusting. How could my body react like this to a complete stranger? I had a boyfriend. I was here because I had to be. Yet this masked man’s touch was making me ache in ways I didn’t want to admit.
“Fuckkkk…” he groaned, voice strained.
He suddenly reached into his pocket. I froze, eyes widening in fear for a second.
Then he pulled out a thick wad of hundred-dollar bills and my breath caught at the back of my throat.
Before I could process it, he stood up, powerful arms wrapping around me and lifting me effortlessly. I gasped as he turned and slammed me down onto the plush couch, his strong body hovering over me. One of his arms braced above my head. caging me in. His pants were visibly tented, the bulge huge and obvious.
He stroked his hand down my body again, almost reverently, then dropped the entire wad of cash between my spread legs.
The bills scattered across my thighs and the couch.
Then he leaned down and kissed me hard.
His mouth claimed mine, tongue licking across my lips, demanding entrance. I whimpered into the kiss, shocked and overwhelmed. It was rough, hungry, and consuming.
And then, just as suddenly, he pulled away.
He stood up, breathing heavily, and walked out of the booth without another word.
I lay there frozen on the couch, chest heaving, legs still spread, cash scattered over me like some twisted offering.
It took me almost a full minute to come back to my senses.
I sat up slowly, hands shaking as I gathered the money. My fingers trembled as I counted it.
Ten thousand dollars.
Ten. Thousand. Dollars.
More than enough to pay the entire debt for this month and still have some left.
Tears filled my eyes again, this time from pure disbelief and overwhelming relief mixed with shame.
Who was that man?
And why did his touch… his kiss…. feel so terrifyingly familiar?
I couldn’t think about it.
Not now.
I clutched the thick wad of cash tightly to my chest, my hands still shaking as I hurried back toward the bar area. The money felt heavy, ten thousand dollars. More money than I had ever held in my life.

Chapter 95
Carson was the first person I saw. He was wiping down the bar when I approached. His eyes widened the second he noured the cash in my hands and the tears still drying on my cheeks.
“Astra? What the hell happened?” he asked, voice low but urgent.
I placed the money on the bar, voice barely above a whisper.
“I… I did a lap dance for a VIP. He gave me all of this.”
Carson stared at the stack of hundreds, mouth slightly open.
“On your first night? Bloody hell…”
Monica appeared beside him almost instantly, eyes locking onto the money like a hawk and she let out a low whistle.
“Damn, girl. You hit the jackpot on night one?” She eyed the cash greedily for a second before looking at my face. “But you okay though? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”
I nodded shakily.
“I just… I need to pay off my debt. Can I see Pablo?”
Monica raised an eyebrow but nodded. “Come on.”
She led me through the back hallways to Pablo’s office. When we stepped inside, Victor Kane was there, the main boss sitting behind the desk with two huge, muscular men standing guard on either side of him.
Victor’s cold eyes scanned me from head to toe, lingering on my barely-covered body. I felt so small next to them, tiny and vulnerable.
Like some rabbit in a room full of wolves.
“Miss Hawthorne,” Victor said, voice deep and amused. “Nice to see you again. You clean up well.”
I swallowed hard, clutching the money tighter.
“I… I have the money for my debt,” I said, stepping forward and placing the entire wad on his desk.
Victor’s eyebrows shot up then he leaned forward, counting the bills quickly. His eyes widened slightly in genuine surprise.
“Ten thousand,” he muttered, almost in awe. “In one night?”
Pablo’s jaw dropped. “How the fuck…”
Victor raised a hand, silencing him. He looked back at me, a slow, predatory smile spreading across his face.
“How did you get this?”
“I… went to a VIP booth,” I whispered, cheeks burning. “A man gave it to me. I only did a lap dance. Nothing else. I swear.”
