Jefferson issued a cold warning. "Take that back, Claire. I can pretend I didn't hear it. Otherwise, you won't be able to handle the consequences."

Seeing how desperate she was for him, he was willing to give her one last out.

Claire smirked, completely ignoring him. She turned to face Daisy, her voice ringing clear.

"Since this is a bet, the stakes have to go both ways."

"If my design is approved, not only will Luna Atelier continue operating normally, but you will apologize to Betty to her face and immediately resign from the design department."

The room drew a collective breath.

Daisy froze for a second before bursting into laughter, acting as if she had just heard the funniest joke in the world.

"Fine by me! Director Zimmerman and Mr. Sterling are both here to bear witness."

Daisy was the lead designer for the Crescent Moon Couture project. Her entire team couldn't crack it in weeks, so there was no way Claire could do it alone in three days.

"Three days. If you can't satisfy them, you'll get the hell out of the design industry forever."

A flash of triumph crossed Yvonne's eyes. She put on a perfectly faked look of helplessness and spoke in a hypocritical tone.

"Claire, since you've made your decision, we won't stop you. But I believe you can do it. If you need anything, the whole department will support you."

"Alright, everyone back to work."

The crowd quickly dispersed.

Jefferson's face was so dark it looked like a storm was about to break.

He glared fiercely at Claire, his voice dropping to a low, furious whisper meant only for her.

"You've really done it now, Claire."

"When you lose this bet, I won't lift a finger to save you. You will get the hell out of Sterling Holdings!"

Betty stood nearby, tears brimming in her eyes. "Claire, I'm so sorry. This is all my fault..."

"Don't blame yourself, Betty. It's fine." Claire didn't care in the slightest about whatever nonsense Jefferson was spewing.

She looked down at Betty's heavily swollen wrist. "Let's get you to the hospital."

Behind them, Daisy rolled her eyes. "She's about to lose everything, yet she's still acting tough."
