Jefferson's voice was low and heavy as he glared intensely at Claire, refusing to miss even the slightest shift in her expression.

He let out a dark, mocking laugh. "That shirt Miles is wearing... you made it, didn't you?"

"Have you been sleeping with him behind my back?"

Claire's stomach dropped. She hadn't expected Jefferson to be so observant.

"What if I am? What if I'm not? Whether it's Miles or anyone else, I'll make clothes for whoever I want, and I'll sleep with whoever I want."
