Daniel’s POV-

It took an hour and a half for us to get back to the clubhouse. During that entire time, Olivia sat on my lap in the SUV and didn’t move a single muscle. I could tell she was awake, but I could tell she just wanted to wash her body and change her clothes. Today alone, she has witnessed people die, Prez get shot, she has killed people, and she got assaulted, kidnapped and nearly ****d. Of course, she would have a hard time until she has had time to deal with what happened in her own way.

As everyone climbed out of the SUVs, we all moved towards the truck. I was still carrying Olivia in my arms. The truck we were all moving towards, had Prez in with Mike, Doc and this Allison Cook. We were waiting for our Prez to come out of the truck. We all wanted to know if he was okay.

Allison moved the fabric curtain at the rear of the truck and climbed out first, her eyes welled with tears, as she approached Olivia. Allison wrapped her arms around herself. Then we heard, “Dad, Dad, come on, don’t leave me and Katie yet.”

I knew Mike was going to need me, so I whispered, “I love you, Olivia. Mike needs me right now. Do you want your dad to hold you or do you want to stand up?”

“I love you, too, Daniel. I want to stand, I will stay with Allison,” she replied, quietly.

I nodded, and pressed a kiss to her cheek, not wanting to push her yet. But she grabbed the back of my head and pulled me in for a quick kiss on the lips. She pulled away, and I slowly lowered her to the floor. She zipped up her leather cut, to hide her torn T-shirt./I looked at Gold, he was already moving towards us.

He knew. “I will look after her. Go help him,” Gold said, his voice completely pained.

Prez was Gold’s best friend. My dad would be feeling it too. I was feeling it, Prez was like a father to us all. I stepped away from Olivia and Gold, and headed towards the back of the truck. I climbed up into the back. Doc had his fingers on Prez’s neck, he glanced up at me, and he shook his head. Mike was crying quietly. I knelt down next to him, and wrapped my arm around his shoulder. Mike turned to look at me. It was the first time I had seen him cry since his mother disappeared. He leaned into me and i wrapped my arms around him, holding him as he cried. “It’s going to be okay, Mike. You are strong. Katie will need you. Our club is going to need you. I will be right there with you. Let it out now, and then let’s get out of here

He cried a little more, before taking a few deep breaths and moving away from me. He pulled a sheet over his father’s head. Doc looked up at us. You could see he was feeling like he failed. “I will take your father’s body to the morgue, Prez, until we plan a funeral for him,” Doc said.

Mike is now Prez. Everyone will be calling him that now. Mike stood up and nodded, “Thank you, Doc.
