Chapter 119
Olivia’s POV-
I kept taking deep breaths. The moment I was in my dress, the nerves really set in. I honestly do know why. I know Daniel won’t be anywhere else. He will be there at the altar waiting for me. I wi eager to see how handsome he looked.
Now, I sit in the car, my dad beside me, holding my hand tightly. I know he is trying to soothe me reassure me that he was here. As much as I need him right now, there is one man that I need mo than anything right now. He was at the altar waiting for me to walk down the aisle,
“Are you okay, princess?” Dad asked.
Oh, yeah, I am okay with my dad calling me “princess” now. It was always his name for me, and I have come to terms with the fact that I can’t let Vargas take things from me.
I nodded, “I am a little nervous. I never thought I would be, but the closer I get to walking down the aisle, the more nervous I get.”
“Nervous about him being there? Or, nervous about tripping and falling? Or, the vows?” he asked.
“I know he will be there. I think I am more nervous about the wedding not going right, like you said tripping and falling,” I replied.
“Ah, the weight of your big day, not being perfect,” he smiled softly at me, before squeezing my hand. “You don’t need to worry. I can say for certain that if anyone causes any problems at your wedding, they will either eat a bullet, or will be swallowing all their teeth by the time all our brothers are finished with them.”
“I had a feeling they would probably do something like that,” I chuckled softly.
Dad nodded, “You probably don’t realize it, but Olivia, since you came to live with me and stole
Carnage’s heart, you have changed the club. You have become the fierce beating heart of the club. Honestly, we had our fun, and we were like a family, but since you arrived with us, you became a missing piece that no one knew we needed. You really completed that family. Carnage is certainly a changed man since you two got closer. I am so glad for that.”
I squeezed my dad’s hand in response, a smile spreading across my lips. “Thanks dad. I know sometimes you are worried because we don’t have any other blood relatives, but you gave me a far better family than anyone could hope for, in the form of the club. Every single one of them, especially you and Daniel, has proven to me that I am worthy of being loved. You saved me when I needed you most, you did, and Daniel did. Daniel’s love for me brought me to my biological father and all the love I get from you and the club.”
“Why do you think I have been so cool with all this? I have known Daniel since he was a baby. ! know he would do right by the woman he chooses for his own. I didn’t know about you until he to me about you. The way he spoke about you, when I asked him and the others what they knew about you, it was clear to everyone just how deeply he felt for you. For one so young to feel what he feels for you, I knew he had to be the one for you. That what you would have would be true lov Dad smiled at me.
“He never told me about how he told you about me,” I said.
Dad chuckled, “Katie booted the doors of church open while we were in session, and demanded lift my shirt up to show her my birthmark, the birthmark that we share. She somehow got your DNA, and we ran it against mine. When Doc confirmed that you were mine, I asked Katie, Mike, Devil, Phoenix, and Daniel what they knew about you, and no one said anything until Daniel. The way he smiled and told me things about you, it was clear he had been watching you for a long tim and that he had already cared for you deeply for years. I knew then that no matter how much I would hate to see my daughter date anyone, I could handle her dating a man like Daniel, especiall
when he laid his feelings bare for all to see when he never showed any emotions aside from ange
before.”
“She didn’t?” I gasped.
Dad nodded, “Katie has an inner biker warrior. She tries to hide it from everyone, especially her dac and brother. But now…” he trailed off.
I knew what he was getting at. She is going to fully suppress that side of her now that her dad is gone. Even though it has been months since we lost Prez, everyone is still feeling it. Loss takes time to heal from, and it is different for everyone. That is the hardest part.
“Right, enough of that. We are almost there. Are you sure you are ready for this huge step?” he
asked.
I nodded without hesitation. My resolve shines through my eyes. “I love him, and this is right for us,
for him and me.”
Dad squeezed my hand again, before bringing it to his lips and pressing a kiss to the back of my hand. “You are so strong, so beautiful, Olivia. I am so proud of you.”
“Thanks Dad,” I smiled.
The car came to a slow stop, and the car was immediately swarmed by the cameras of the press. I smiled and shook my head. Dad chuckled and waved at them, flashing a bright smile. He climbed out his side of the car, as some of the members of our club stepped in front of my door and began to push the press back so that my father could get to the door.
*Chapter 119
+28 Fami Megan and Katie were already out of their car and beside my father. They were going to help with my dress and veil. Dad ordered the men to move the press further back, so we could have more room. My dress’ hem is a cathedral-length train, the veil is just as long. The train will come off later for the first dance, and then a larger portion of the skirt I will be able to take off, revealing an almost completely different dress for the bike ride later on. I even have a different veil for the first
dance and the bike ride.
Once the press were forced back, Dad opened the car door and helped me from the car. Megan and Katie immediately jumped to help my dress get out of the car entirely. I don’t need any wardrobe mishaps right now. Not with all these cameras here.
We took a few steps forwards, as Megan gathered the train of my dress to help carry it inside, soit did not get dirty before the ceremony. We moved towards the cathedral, ignoring the flashing lights from the cameras and the shouts from the press. Too many asked for a comment or asked questions that should not be answered right now. My groom awaits. That is more important right
