Becoming a Primordial was a strange sensation for Rowan; he had experienced the entire process of others becoming Primordials, and because their foundations were rooted inside the Origin Land of his main body, that experience had been so intimate, it was almost as if he was the one ascending.
However, reaching the Primordial level by himself was quite different. He was walking the path of the Ancient Primordial and becoming the Primordial of Space, one of the first concepts to be born in Existence.
Upon obtaining the fourth level of the Origin of space, the Maw of Oblivion, Rowan did not gain any vision from the past, and he believed that it was due to the nature of this space that swallowed all the memories of its Origin, and even its master would not be able to see how it began.
Oblivion was one of the most interesting concepts in Existence, and Rowan found it odd that it was so profoundly linked to space. At least he did, but his confusion would be cleared away the moment he fully seeded this Origin in his flesh.
He could sense all the disruption being created by the Abomination, and Eos had shared the truth of its Origin as well as his own. Knowing about the past was more than enough motivation for Rowan to push past the barrier of time imposed by the Abomination and push the Origin Flames of Space into his body.
"FUSE!" He roared, shaking the space created by Eos and nearly shattering it as a shockwave erupted from his flesh, created by the transformation of an eighth-dimensional Old One of Rowan powers into a ninth-dimensional Origin Life form.
Sensations, memories, emotions in relentless tides bombarded his mind, rushing past his limits, and Rowan screamed... his voice distorting into a long scream that had no ending but endlessly looped around him.
Unlike other Primordials that reached the ninth-dimensional level and slowly found the first layer of their Origin, Rowan already discovered the four layers of space, and he was going through multiple tribulations at the same time.
The Tribulations to become a Primordial were powerful, and every new layer that a Primordial obtained, they would have to undergo a series of tests and powerful Tribulations in order to be worthy of controlling a deeper layer of that concept.
All of these Tribulations coming at the same time had never been seen in Existence, since it should have technically been impossible for any entity to not only reach the Primordial level, but also understand four of its layers at the same time.
This caused Rowan’s Primordial to become something new, as massive gates of restriction that bounded space were shattered and reconfigured into something new before they were shattered again. Every shattering led to a greater storm of memories that almost made Rowan want to shatter his consciousness because he could no longer take it.
What made this rush of memories so painful to bear was that they were chaotic, lacking form or meaning, but all of them were at the ninth-dimensional level, hence they carried incredible weight. Just a single piece of memory was more than enough to occupy the mind of a Primordial, yet Rowan was being bombarded with so many memories that he could no longer count them.
When his mind was brought to the brink, Rowan began to draw power from his main body without holding back, even when he knew that Eos was fighting one of the most dangerous entities in Existence. Rowan knew that he had only this one chance to reach the level of a Primordial and understand the secrets bound to his past and his future.
However, he was too late; the bombardment of memories was beyond what any being could receive, not even someone as powerful as he was. Rowan’s eyes opened wide in astonishment as his consciousness shattered and he fell to the ground. He thought he could hear the laughter of the Abomination in the distance.
Regret filled his heart; perhaps he had finally bitten off more than he could chew. While it was true that claiming all the layers of space at once would ensure that he would be able to see through any deceit put in place by a Primordial, he could have made do by first becoming a Primordial, and if he survived what was to come, he would have slowly conquered all the successive layers of space.
Yet this thought barely lasted a moment before Rowan pushed them aside. Reaching the Primordial level was going to be a significant risk, and even if the Tribulations had not killed him, the Abomination would not allow him live long enough to explore the secrets of the Primordial Record.
