Chapter 1980: The Birth of A Miracle

Eos’s attacks had consumed all the flesh and tendrils from the Abomination, and he surged forward to finish off the Abomination, but his eyes widened in shock when he discovered that, in the space between its frenzied attack and his retaliation, the creature had evolved for the fourth time!

Stopping his momentum almost instantaneously, Eos was still too late to avoid the retaliation of the Evolved Abomination as its new body that resembled a long stretched out face began to enfold him.

The flesh of the Abomination wrapped around him like a lover’s embrace, mouths kissing every inch of his skin, and arms sprouting from skin to hold him close.

Eos roared as he felt the rot blast past his defenses and reach his core, and his heart stopped beating before it tore itself to pieces.

"Rest... it is over. You have fought the good fight, and know peace in the certainty that from the birth of Existence, you are the only lifeform at the eighth-dimensional level that could battle me to this extent. Now, please, just... fucking... die."

He was going to lose, everything was pointing to that conclusion, his Tri-Core Sigil flickered and went out, his Wings of Omniverse dimming, death was close, but there was no fear in Eos’s eyes, only deep calculation.

The evolution of the Abomination was quite quick, but because it was singular, it was a glass cannon, and the only reason it was remaining in this fight for so long was that the power of End was pouring an unending stream of foul vitality inside it, ensuring that the Abomination could continue fighting when it should have long been destroyed.

Eos had long realized that the solution to this battle was not in killing this Abomination, as no amount of power he could throw at it would surpass the amount of vitality being poured into its body.

At least, that would be the case for everyone else.

You see, although Eos’s evolution was relatively slow when compared to that of the Abomination, he was still evolving, but his evolution was qualitative in nature and not quantitative like the Abomination, who was being fed so much power that only a Will as firm as Enoch’s could keep it in check.

Eos’s evolution was a total rebuilding of his body from the ground up. Usually, when he called upon the power of the Primordial Record, it showed him the path possible with his foundation, and also provided any missing ingredients he might need.

And so, without his Singularity, Eos’s evolution was slow, but it did not stop, and after the Abomination had evolved four times, Eos’s first evolution was about to begin.

He felt it building. A pressure in his chest, where the Record had once been. It brought pain that was also pleasure, and Eos pushed past this distraction to draw deeper into the transformation building in the depths of his being.

A connection flared, distant, but strengthening.

Rowan! His Incarnation was not lost and was still pushing for the ninth-dimensional level, meaning that the connection the Incarnation had with the Primordial Record was strengthening, and this was also feeding back into Eos’s evolution.

Far away, on the River of Echoes, Rowan sat with the Remnant, the home of the Ancient God, tortured and discarded by End; however, at the same time, his body still lay on the Road of Eternity, and even though it was being ravaged by a storm that was constantly shredding his body to pieces, Rowan refused to fade.

Eos was noticing that Rowan, who should have failed his tribulation, was still drawing power from him, and at first the power he was drawing was minimal; it suddenly grew, and the connection between them... surged.

Space Origin...four layers discovered, the Maw of Oblivion unlocked... then, ignited.

The shockwave that carried his cries had surged past the purple cube and slammed into the Abomination that covered Eos,

"FUSE!"
