Chapter 1993: The Meaning of Sacrifice

The Abomination had been struggling to contain Eos while also placing its attention on the ongoing battle between Rowan and the Primordials alongside their unexpected ally.

There was almost a look of disbelief in its many eyes as it saw Rowan being suppressed by the Primordials. With his knowledge of Eos and his strange abilities, it did not find it particularly remarkable that just with his Incarnation alone, he was fighting all of the Primordials and their ally. Frankly, it would be more strange if it were the opposite.

It had already begun diverting resources away from containing Eos because the ultimate prize was not with him, but with the Incarnation, and the Abomination simply had to wait for the right moment to come before it would attack, and quicker than he anticipated, the moment came.

Rowan, despite his powers as the Primordial of Space, had no way to combat all of his adversaries. Perhaps if he were fighting one at a time, then there would be a chance, but he was not, and the Primordials were not pulling their punches.

What made this situation even worse for him was that he should have been trying as much as possible to flee from this place. He was the Primordial of Space, and while they would still catch up to him, he would have extended his life for longer, but Rowan had chosen to attack them.

At first, the Abomination was puzzled by this decision. After fighting with Eos for so long, it knew that every action taken by this man was not to be taken lightly. If Rowan was not taking the obvious action to flee from danger, there must be something else that was at stake.

However, the Abomination could no longer stand back and watch when it saw that Rowan was about to be killed. If anyone was going to be killing Rowan, it would have to be by its hands.

Sending a burst of knowledge into Eosโ€™s mind, the Abomination mocked him, "Did you ever wonder why the Primordials left you alone after your actions gave them freedom? They were not doing it out of goodwill; they knew that their previous actions would cause you to be wary, and if they pressured you more... you would break, and so what did they do? You played right into their trap... hahahaha. You became the owner of the Primordial Record, the container of all the powers in Existence... including my own."

Even in the midst of his struggle, Rowan still had the presence of mind to reply quite calmly, "I see now, you all were waiting for me to reach the Primordial level, but because I did it too quickly, plans changed, and your agenda was broken. Look at you, Enoch, in the body of an Abomination, while you slaughtered the Cradle, your hidden hand... look at them, the Primordials and even Death itself, they were at each otherโ€™s throat, and now they have forged a perilous alliance."

The Abomination laughed, "You think you know everything? You have no idea the forces you have placed into play by this act. You forced our hand, but you were never its owner."

"You can stop with your attempt at trying to bait the answers out of me, Enoch. I do not know everything, but what I know is that if you spend more time trying to hold me down, your children are going to take the Primordial Record for themselves and they shall gleefully tear you to pieces."

The Abomination growled in anger, "It does not matter what you think you know or what you must have planned. Today, you die, and everything else would follow you to your grave."

This discussion had barely taken any time, taking place instantly inside the consciousness of Eos, and the Abomination had already finished its plans. A greater part of its body was being used in imprisoning Eos, while a small part of its body had evolved for the first time into a mantis-like creature that was barely bigger than a small moon.

Using the present scale of Eos, the Abomination in this size was countless trillions of times smaller than an atom. However, the power that was in this small body was exponentially greater than the previous body it was using to restrain Eos.

The scythe was already falling quite quickly, but when the Abomination exploded towards them, cutting through the distance separating them as if it were nothing, the general quickened his swing while roaring in victory. ๐—ณ๐š›๐—ฒ๐•–๐š ๐šŽ๐š‹๐—ป๐—ผ๐•ง๐—ฒ๐ฅ.๐šŒ๐š˜๐ฆ

In Rowanโ€™s head, he heard the voice of Eos, โ€™No, they do not... You have lived well, Rowan. You can rest now. But not yet...โ€™

โ€™No, not yet.โ€™ Rowan agreed.
