Chapter 2015: A Subtle Trap

Eos remained silent; he had been expecting something like this from this Primordial, because he knew that more than anyone else, Nyxara was the one who had designed the course of his life.

It was a mistake to see the madness of the Primordials and forget how incredibly cunning they were. It was a wicked wisdom born over countless eons of learning and observing, and she had made sure that when Eos was born, her touch had entered every part of his life, and knowing of their sick desires, most of his suffering had been under her purview.

He sighed and turned away, causing her to sputter in shock, "Eos, do not turn your back on me, or their endless suffering would be on your head. Do you think I don’t have proof?"

Eos did not turn back, but he paused, "Enough of these foolish games, Nyxara, if you had something, you would lead with that, by now, you should know that your words mean nothing to me."

Saying this, Eos was about to disappear, but Nyxara called out,

"Stop, you have what I need, and we can make a new Agreement outside of Death and Enoch’s ears. Look at this conflict with critical eyes, Eos, and you can see that we are your best options."

"Is that so?" Rowan chuckled,

"Why yes, of course," she said, "Among all of us, only we share the power of Origin, and unlike them who want to diminish this power, we want to bring Origin to its peak and beyond. You should know that the devastation that wrecked a greater portion of Existence may have been committed with our hands, but our hearts were never in them, like you, from the beginning we had always been tools... look at me Eos, look at this body, look into the eyes of this child and tell me that I had a dream of shattering Existence and laying waste to the countless lives that lived within it."

At her words, Eos turned, a profound look of disbelief and fury in his eyes that quickly turned cold and analytical. He spoke slowly, as if he wanted to make sure that the Ancient Primordial would not mistake his words or intent.

"Do you know the first thing I thought about the moment I saw you, Nyxara?... I thought that if I had the power to go back in time and kill you and your siblings when you were babies, I would do it. I would tear you all apart, limb from limb, and feed your bodies to vultures."

Nyxara cocked her head to the side, her face beginning to slowly transform from a look of pity into a cold thing.

"I have seen enough of the past that your attempt to twist the Truth before my gaze is beyond pitiful. There were many chances for you all to change in the past. Like me, the hands of Enoch may have interfered with your life, but you all had choices and free will. From the moment you decided that power and ambition outweighed all life and creation inside Existence, you had never looked back, and your ledger drips with blood that can choke out a million Realities."

Eos took a step forward, "You think you are a better option than Enoch and Death? I thought my Incarnation Rowan showed you how wrong you were. You are not the champion of Origin, no, you and your siblings are worse. With Death and Enoch, they have fallen fully into the hands of End, but you are a chaotic abomination holding End and Origin, and you will not let go of either one. You all are an aberration that should not exist, and I shall take great pleasure in finally killing you and your siblings, Nyxara... slowly and as painfully as possible. I hate that Asteroath did not fall by my hand, but I can feel his essence inside of you... If there is any little bit of his mind left, I shall find Nyxara, and his dying screams shall echo your own."

There was silence for a while, and Nyxara shrugged and broke the silence, "I can hear your convictions in your heart, Eos. It is a shame that convictions are not enough. You may think that your abilities and your cunning give you a chance for what is about to come, but you know so little about the depths of power." π˜§π‘Ÿπ‘’π‘’π˜Έπ˜¦π˜£π‘›π‘œπ˜·π‘’π“.π˜€π˜°π“‚
