Eos looked past his Origin Realms and into the endless void surrounding him, and he sighed.
Limbo was changing.
For sixty-five million Cosmic Eras, the actions of the Ancient Primordials had reshaped the fabrics of Existence, following the footsteps of their creator, Enoch.
Every Existence before this mad Luminous had a boundary, and even the greatest powers to ever exist, the Luminous understood the importance of maintaining the stability of Existence, even if they chose to set themselves apart from it.
Enoch had not cared about this stability, cursed with the unending hunger and desire for change that every living Luminous had poured into his body before he took his first breath. Enoch had set out to change Existence, and he succeeded beyond his wildest dreams.
He broke Existence in ways that even the hidden power of End could never have anticipated. Even chaos needed walls to flourish, and Existence no longer had a boundary; it could expand infinitely, and this process fed upon itself, ensuring that the new Existence created by Enoch’s mad desire for change had become something that was beyond comprehension.
Existence at this point was not older than 900 Million Cosmic Eras, a brief flash of nothing when the lifespan of Existences was placed in the picture. Sixty-five Million Cosmic Eras ago, Existence as it was known was transformed into Limbo.
The transformation of Existence happened the moment the Ancient Primordials butchered and consumed their first seven Realities. They did not understand what they were doing, no, one of them did, Nyxara, the Primordial of Soul. This Ancient Primordial saw the true face of End when her siblings were only blinded by the glow of power.
She saw that Existence was expanding beyond any control, and if there was any chance for a ruler to arise that could bring Existence back to the stable form that it previously enjoyed, they would have enough power to command all the Origin inside it.
The power of End was great, but the foundations of Existence were built with Origin, and it was the only power that could reverse this process that Enoch, in his madness, had unleashed.
Enoch no longer had any physical body that he could use to return to Existence, and the Ancient Primordials, created from his body, only held a fragment of his power; they could not reverse the expansion with the power they were given by Enoch, to do this, they had to harvest the power that Enoch had poured into Existence in his quest to unleash change upon it.
To get this power back from Existence, the Primordials unleashed an unrivalled slaughter upon it, and from their actions, the power of End bled into Existence, and it transformed it into Limbo.
The Luminous had made a prophecy about the end of all things, where life and its origin were brought to their limits, and everything that was once known as sacred was corrupted and broken. This was supposed to be the end of life, and nothing was supposed to emerge from this end... it would be eternal silence forever.
Limbo was the culmination of that prophecy, at least it was supposed to be.
