The moment Eos sensed that the heavens above this terrible battle were opening, he charged the Archais who were spectating the battle and transmitting them in real time to the Origin Realms to retreat further.
Every action of the Temple of End was made in the shadows, and they had not revealed themselves since this Existence began. Obviously, things were changing, and if this unknown power was willing to reveal itself at the moment, Eos expected that their response would not be simple.
For the Archai to retreat was to protect them, while also giving him more depth and understanding of the battlefield.
His gaze travelled upward to the perfect crack that had appeared in the fabric of Existence, which looked like it was made by a sharp blade, as the incision was one of the cleanest he had ever seen, representing the height of understanding of dimensional rules that dwarfed his own.
The battle below created calmitious explosions that would not cease even if trillions of years go by, but from that fissure in the heavens, absolute silence poured out that was so condensed it took the form of light. It was the concept of silence made manifest.
A hush seemed to fall over all of Existence, as even the breathing of the Ancient Primordials’ breathing, even their heartbeats, seemed to have stopped mid-motion. Such was the powerful force of silence that had descended that even though the eyes of the Archai were watching the battle, the silence threatened to spread into the hall Eos and the Primordials were using to spectate the battle.
"Interesting... is this the core concept of Lumen, or something else that he has created?" Eos thought, "Silence is an odd choice for a concept; however, I can see its appeal and power."
However, Eos knew that this silence was simply a herald of what was to come; it was simply the aura that had escaped from the crack in the heavens, and he was not wrong. However, what dropped from the heavens surprised him as well as the Ancient Primordials, who had retreated a bit to analyze this unknown third party.
From the cracks in the heavens, stones emerged. However, as these stones emerged, it was soon revealed that they were pillars.
Eos’s eyes widened a bit when he noticed that he recognized these pillars, and they were parts of the Temple of End. Was the Temple descending into Limbo to protect Death? Was the Beast that valuable to their plans that they would leave their place of safety outside of Existence? This might complicate things a bit and ruin his plans.
With these thoughts in his head, Eos observed the descending pillars of the Temple. He noted that he could not figure out its material, meaning that these pillars, in some ways, transcended all the concepts of this Existence, and reminded him of the frozen moment between life and oblivion.
Each block on this pillar was taller than a galaxy, blacker than any void, etched with runes that hurt to perceive because they described the exact shape of multiple endings.
The last time he entered the Temple of End, Rowan, his Incarnation had not been able to see everything about the Temple, and Eos was now seeing a new side of it, and perhaps the reason why it was called the Temple of End.
Lumen had carved all of the endings of Existence that it knew on the walls of these Temples, and there were a lot. This revealed to Eos that while the wings of Enoch had not lied to him, they had not told him the entire truth either.
He had been meant to believe that there had been previous Existences, but had not been given the full amount. The true scope and scale of the past were hidden because if Eos had known how deep the rabbit hole went, some of the decisions he had made in the past would have been changed.
His mind still focused on piecing out every clue he could discern from these descending pillars, Eos cocked his head in surprise as the pillars began to assemble themselves, but it was not in the shape of the temple, but something else.
