Steven tried to recall special moments with Annalise. But he realized he could only remember everything she did for her and the ways she had touched his heart. Meanwhile, he had just taken advantage of her love by carelessly hurting her again and again.

"He probably just realized that he never treated Annalise well in those six years." Gavin looked away, expressionless.

Yet Annalise had always been patient and understanding. She forgave him unconditionally, no matter what Steven did. Sadly, he never appreciated what he had.

The friend asked in disbelief, "Really? And she stayed with him that long?"

Gavin mused, "Maybe that's what love is?"
