Nina could only sneer inwardly. She knew full well how bitter they were toward each other deep down. Putting on such fake affectionate acts for the public was utterly disgusting to watch.

Over at the press conference venue, Chase held Katrina’s hand tightly, his eyes filled with seeming remorse and tenderness.

“I feel deep regret for all my mistakes. I’ve hurt the person I love most and brought endless pain to my wife and my whole family. won’t go into detail about how I was framed for now. In time, I will reveal the full truth and give proper explanations to everyone, as well as to my wife and family.”

He turned around and left without another word. Katrina seethed with rage yet had no way to stop him. She still remembered how far Chase had once gone to spoil and comfort her, willing to abandon all his principles just to make her happy. Yet everything had changed the moment Nina came back into town.

“Nina…” She clenched her fists tightly, her eyes filled with malice. Chase, if you chose to treat me this way first, then I would not hold back ony longer.

She pulled out her phone and dialed a number. On the other end, her father David answered in great excitement.

“Baby girl, you finally called me!”

His face lit up with joy. Ever since Katrina married into the Mercer family, she had cut off almost all contact with him, clearly determined to distance herself from her own birth family.
