Caleb spoke casually, yet Nina knew all too well how cold and ruthless his family could be. He had been forced to study overseas years ago. “Go get some rest. If you need me tomorrow, I’ll go with you to apologize to your father.”

“No way” Caleb shook his head firmly. “You have no idea how much he dislikes you. If he sees you, he’ll definitely find ways to humiliate you. Don’t worry, I’ll be fine. At most, I’ll just be grounded at home for a few days. It’s nothing serious.

“She instigated someone to kidnap Nina Tann. Please ask her to come down to the station immediately for questioning

The moment he heard the news, Chase’s eyes snapped straight towards Katrina. Her whole body froze in fright on the spot

Chase kept his eyes fixed on her while speaking coldly into the phone. “Understood, we’ll bring her over soon”

The call ended. Chase rose to his feet and walked slowly towards Katrina. She subconsciously stepped backward in fear

“Explain what exactly?” His tone turned icy sharp. “Are you going to say you never ordered anyone to kidnap her? Or claim you had absolutely nothing to do with this whole thing? Katrina, you really have gone too far!”

He pushed her down onto the sofa in anger. Trembling all over, Katrina was utterly terrified by his furious look.

“It’s really not my fault! I knew nothing about any abduction! I swear I didn’t!”
