The Rejected True Heiress (Liora and Callum) novel Chapter 409

Liora’s POV

I stared down at the letter in my hands and reread it a couple of times.

“Liora’s identity is to be kept a secret until the end of the school year. Please ensure that the true identity of the princess is not revealed, even by the princess herself, until further notice.”

My father wanted my identity to remain a secret until the end of the semester. From everyone, including Callum.

More than that, he had contacted the principal herself to ensure that the news didn’t come out. And I apparently had no say in the matter, judging from the wording.

I looked down at the signature at the bottom of the page. It was definitely my father’s signature, and his seal was stamped right next to it.

I shouldn’t have been surprised. My father had been pretty adamant when he told me not to tell Callum about my true identity.

But why? He still hadn’t explained anything, and now I was even more baffled. He hadn’t even warned me before reaching out to Mrs. Oakes. This wasn’t like him at all. I got the sense that there was more to the story than he was letting on.

“Liora?”

Snapped out of my daze by the principal’s voice, I looked up to see her still smiling faintly at me. There was a look of politeness about her now that she knew my identity that hadn’t been there before, although it didn’t seem disingenuous.

I had to remind myself that she wasn’t Alder, who would have walked over my body bleeding out on the floor one day just for being a “wolfless nobody”, then bowed down the next once he found out who I really was.
