The Rejected True Heiress (Liora and Callum) novel Chapter 488

Chapter 488

“All of it,” she said.

“I have to be prepared for tomorrow,” I said. “I can’t-”

“All. Of. It.”

The command in Bianca’s tone made me stiffet. I felt her wolf’s newfound power wash over me, forcing my fingers to tighten around the cup. Before I could regain control of myself, I was lifting the cup back to my lips and chugging.

Bianca and her followers watched, Daisy snarling like a guard dog all the while, as I downed the entire cup in one go.

By the time I was finished, my head was already fuzzy and my stomach felt sick from too much wine too fast. Bu the moment I set the cup down, someone refilled it to the brim.

Bianca’s lips curved. “Good girl. Here.” She shoved her plate toward me. It was mostly just chicken bones with a little bit of meat at this point. “Have something to eat. To absorb the alcohol.”

“I don’t want your leftovers,” I snarled.

“So ungrateful. And here I am, just trying to make sure you keep up your strength for tomorrow.” Bianca clicked her tongue, then picked up a chicken bone and shoved it in my face. I yanked my head back, but it was no use. Someone’s hands caught my head, forcing it forward. Bianca pressed the bone against my mouth, smearing grease across my lips.

I slapped her hand away. “You’re an animal!”

Bianca pulled her head back. Her eyes glimmered. “What did you just call me?”

“I called you a fucking animal.” I smacked away the hands of the person who was holding my head, ignoring the way Daisy growled behind me. “You’re making a total fool of yourself and the throne. And by the way, that tiara is tacky as hell.”

A gasp rippled around me. Bianca froze, fingers tightening around the chicken bone.

“She’s drunk already,” she said simply. “Someone get her some water.”

The heat in my cheek spread all the way to my jaw, but I lowered my hand into my lap and forced my expression to remain calm. Slowly, the room began to come back to life around me. Bianca continued her conversation with her cronies like I wasn’t even there.

“Miss Belrose.”

The voice came from behind me. I looked up to see Mrs. Oakes standing behind me, slightly off to the side.

“A word,” she said. “About your behavior tonight.”

Bianca smiled, her eyes following me as I stood and followed the headmistress out of the room.
