The Rogue is a Female Alpha novel Chapter 693

Chapter 693

Snowflakes

I literally dragged myself through the front door and collapsed onto the couch. I was bone-deep exhausted, overwhelmed in every way mentally, physically, emotionally.

Emshed

Days had passed since Mother’s death. As a Crescent omega wolf, her body had been laid to rest quietly in the Pack’s graveyard, while the small funeral ritual, a quiet prayer for her soul was scheduled for a few days

later.

Everything had unraveled after that. Marlik had shown up at the hospital that very night.

He didn’t just prove he wanted the pup, he proved Dove was his true mate, and he wanted her too.

He had stayed by her side, taking care of her throughout her hospital stay. But the moment Dove was discharged, she grabbed her bags and went straight back to work.

The triplets were staying safely at Castle Pack, lovingly looked after by Sera while the rest of us tried to piece ourselves back together and heal.

Dove was unsteady, fractured, really. She was hell-bent on avenging her mother’s death, determined to bring justice at any cost. I knew my best friend too well. If her father remained on the run and unpunished, she would never be the same again.

Eshan had tried to help, but the case had been handed to another team. Echo team. our team, already had far too much on our plates.

Ares Bani would face charges in court in just a few days, and the pressure was suffocating.

I let out a shaky sigh and lifted my gaze from the floor. In the heavy silence of my living room, I suddenly [ found myself face to face with Cupid Godlike. My heart stuttered.

He had been supportive as always. Steady, gentle, offering comfort even while buried in his own demanding work. The campaign for the new skin system had already launched, and I knew how insanely busy he was.

I reached for my bag, intending to pull out my phone, but my eyes caught on the Kim file and the tape.

The one he had just recorded. The one I’d come straight from retrieving. One damning piece of evidence enough to seal Ares’ fate in a way he never saw coming.

I bit my lower lip, fingers hesitating over my phone. For one heart-stopping second, I wavered. The dirb dialed Cupid’s number.

It rang only a few times before I heard movement on the other end.

“Boss, it’s your woman,” Desmond’s voice said, clearly passing the phone.

“Let’s take a few minutes,” someone else replied.

Footsteps, then finally Cupid’s voice came through, warm, intimate after he’d stepped into a quieter space.

“Hey,” he said softly. Before I could answer, the call switched to video. His face filled my screen beautifully, grounding and I couldn’t help the stall, tired smile that curved my lips.

He wore a shirt, but it was unbuttoned just enough to reveal the hard lines of his abs.

Light makeup still dusted his features from the shoot, and today he wore a dangling earring instead of his usual small stud. It suited him dangerously well.

“Cupid,” I breathed his name like a prayer, like salvation. His smile deepened, soft and devastating.

“My God, I miss you.”

“Same,” he murmured, voice low. “Modeling is the part of my life I hate most.”

I let out a small, surprised laugh that turned into a genuine grin.

“That’s odd coming from a model. So what’s the best part of your life, the part you love most?” I teased, still giggling softly.

His gaze softened, turning molten as it searched mine through the screen. Heat bloomed in my chest, spreading fast.

“Making love to you,” he confessed without hesitation.

My heart swelled so fiercely it almost hurt. The bond pulsed between us, sacred, electric, alive, pulling us into that quiet, consuming space where nothing else existed.

We were lost in each other, wrapped in shared emotion, until the sudden sound of rushing footsteps and raised voices shattered the moment.

I looked up, startled.

“I have to see her. You can’t fucking stop me, she’s my wife!”

Ares’ voice. Raw. Desperate.

“Who’s that?” Cupid asked instantly, having heard it too.

I rose from the couch on unsteady legs and moved to the window.

Outside, Ares was struggling against the estate’s security guards stationed at the entrance. They had restrained, dragging him backward.

Confusion twisted inside me. I walked to the front door and opened it, heart pounding, wondering why on earth he would come here. Was he insane?

“Snow… I need to talk to you. Just tell them to give me a few minutes…. please,” he pleaded urgently, voice cracking. But the guards already had him pinned, hauling him away.

I stood frozen, words lodged in my throat. Cupid was watching. Listening. I couldn’t give Ares even a single second of my attention, not without consequences. I knew my man too well. Cupid’s jealousy was quiet, but when it flared, it burned possessive and fierce.
