The Royal Military Academy's Impostor Owns a Dungeon [BL] novel Chapter 133

Chapter 133: Scare

It was cathartic.

The little chipmunk sobbed for a while. He started out with a bit of guttural crying before relaxing into quieter sobs.

He’d never cried like this before and found it rather difficult to stop.

At one point, he thought he had taken too much time and tried wrangling himself, only to realize that he just started the waterworks again.

But the young man couldn’t be further from the truth, as the Duke marveled at the different expressions his son could now make!

All Duke Leander could see was his milky boy, who sparkled even as he cried. Like an automatic filter, it was impossible for him to see how much his son resembled a goldfish instead of a baby bunny.

But that was how much the father loved his son.

Eventually, the goldfish gathered enough strength to talk to the Duke, who was apparently really his father. frёeweɓηovel.coɱ

Father.

Yeah, it seems like he has a father now.

One that kept on looking at him expectantly.

The little goldfish was unsure what to do and asked, "Du—Duke, is there a problem?"

The anticipating father heard this and wilted on the spot. His shoulders drooped, and the similar golden eyes dimmed like a house that missed its utility payment.

Oh no! The little chipmunk panicked, unsure of what to do when faced with such a scene.

And as if it was heaven’s way of making him experience the pressure of being on the receiving end of such a reaction, the small animal immediately wanted to console the sullen Duke.

"Is something wrong? Are you not feeling well, Your Grace?!"

"Yes! I... My heart!"

Of course, the goldfish panicked once he heard about a problem with the heart and tried assisting the Duke, wondering if there was anywhere to lie down on.

"Son, my heart hurts because I know I haven’t been the best father, and now... now I’m only the Duke in your eyes!"

It was a dramatic scene reminiscent of the dramas seen by D-29 when it researched human society.

The little system was actually very busy trying to determine what most humans would do in this case but realized that something was very wrong with Sid’s radio silence.

But what was to be expected of a guardian mecha who just witnessed footage of live possession?

Sid only heard of exorcists but didn’t think they’d ever need one. However, the guardian mecha was surprised to see that his Master had traveled far and wide, likely possessing another body.

Was this why the Master did things differently?

What happens if they have to go possess someone else? Would he tag along? What if they possessed a goat?!

The guardian mecha was frozen in his contemplation while the little system told the Host that actors would always try to appease their parents in the dramas.

"Host, what about trying to appease the Duke? It says here that if they’re happy, their heart wouldn’t hurt so much."

"Happy?" The chipmunk had to think of something that would make anyone happy and figured that shouldn’t be too hard.

"Your Grace, is it okay if I ask for your contact information?"

Now, while the Duke was further saddened by being called ’Your Grace’ by his precious son, he was suddenly over the moon when the boy asked for his terminal details!

So. please send him a message, too! The Duke was screaming internally!

FAR.

WORSE.

In his mind, it would be okay, provided it would help heal the Duke’s heart. In the worst-case scenario, he was willing to part with as many revive pills as necessary.

*DING!*

Duke Leander felt like going through his first out-of-body experience as his son tried shooing him off with money.

Finally, the goldfish realized that it wasn’t working. In fact, the Duke looked far worse than earlier!

Was he dying? Maybe he really needed a revive pill?

It’s just that the little money-grubber couldn’t understand why money made it worse.

Maybe he felt insulted because it was too small for a big-time Duke?

"I am sorry, Your Grace. It seems like I gave you too little. I don’t really have any more to give right now, but when I’m richer, I promise I’ll give you more money. Please don’t be sad. It will be bad for your heart."

Huh? The Duke was surprised to hear such words from his son.

"Son, why did you give me money? Were you thinking of leaving us? Do you not like me as your Papa? Was it because I let you suffer for too long?!" The Duke was teary-eyed and couldn’t help but ask for confirmation.

Now, the little money grubber who lost his fortune and was asked if he was leaving the family was obviously stunned.

Didn’t he just get his family back? Was he going to be kicked out right away?

The little animal lamented that he was too poor and couldn’t give more than what he had sent earlier!

Maybe if he had more, then he wouldn’t be in such a situation!
