Luca had already been told that it might get a little crowded, but no one told him it was going to be like this!
There were tons of people, and even though they surely got a box just for themselves, with all the Dukes having their permanent boxes, it was still crowded from the moment they neared the Capital!
And while Luca looked like he was taking it all in stride, the moment they left for space travel alone, was the start of his realization that he really was somewhere far.
Far enough to be this different.
But while the little chipmunk marveled at everything his eyes could see, a certain father was fretting over the slightest possible insect that could get close to his son.
It was a serious case of stress-eating.
Duke Leander and the supposed good brother, Ollie, kept munching on banana chips like their life depended on it.
Obviously, they all had their personal stash, but Kyle thought eating like this while strategizing was a bit much.
But even then, he understood because he could already tell how many hairs his older brother would lose over this sudden auction.
However, someone far closer was sitting there, suddenly unsure of his life choices.
Ollie belatedly realized that maybe he should’ve encouraged his good brother to stay at Planet Nova while watching the broadcast of the auction?
Maybe then he’d be safe and sound as he earned the money he deserved.
But why did he have to say so many good things about the Capital planet?! Only to end up convincing the good boy to come and see it for himself!
Meanwhile, Xavier expected something like this to happen.
Luca was the type to always want to see things for himself, and the little chipmunk would definitely want to know how the others perceived his goods.
Honestly, Xavier just hoped he wouldn’t have to sic tails on random people who would throw unnecessary negative comments on the items they all worked hard to prepare.
In particular, the ones prepared by Luca himself.
Xavier couldn’t care less about what they thought about the banana chips they prepared en masse, but the main attraction better be smooth sailing.
Actually, they had a few more items to auction as Luca decided to prepare several egg sandwiches cut in those little triangles when asked if there were other things he wanted to auction.
So all in all, they had 10 of the main attraction items, around 40 sandwich boxes, then a few hundred packs of Banana Chips that were now packaged in far bigger bags.
Luca hoped to make a bit of money today because so many people helped make the auction possible, and he even heard his brother getting scolded.
While Ollie only laughed it off as if he expected it, Luca was still unreconciled with how his brother got into trouble because of him.
And so he vowed to make more money for both of them!
Maybe then, the Patriarch wouldn’t be as mad!
Never again!
But Xavier’s mouth should also be taped because some people were just meant to have a crow’s mouth.
While it wasn’t deadly nor negative, it sure created waves as the auction proceeded to last way longer than expected.

A little later, at the Capital Auditorium, a mop was actually tasked with the most important job: handing in the auction items.
And for a moment, the Patriarch, who was surprised to see his son in the flesh, wanted to smack him for coming in without any escort!
"How could you just show up like that?! What if you got mugged before getting here!" Bellowed the Marquis, who had to check his son for signs of life or replacement.
But it sure seemed like it was his boy who could never control that antenna on his head.
"You brought everything by yourself?" whispered the father, who was clearly far more nervous than the son.
"Yes, Pop! Just remember to open the lid a bit when it’s being auctioned so that we can get a higher bidding price!" Ollie said while raising his hand in an okay sign,
"You little—! You don’t go home for a month, and then you suddenly start something like this! Call your mother more. You’re going to drive her nuts!" Said the worried father who bonked the carrier of the goods!
"Ow! Hey! Shouldn’t you be praising me?! I don’t think I did too badly!" Ollie pouted before getting his hair ruffled.
"Yeah, sure, you did good. Now let’s just hope the Auditorium survives today!" Sighed the worried Trading mogul who was just hoping for the best.
