The Royal Military Academy's Impostor Owns a Dungeon [BL] novel Chapter 847

Chapter 847: A Moment Set Aside

While most elders would advise their younger selves to slow down and appreciate the present, or maybe to take better care of their health and teeth, one golden-eyed cadet would probably give very different advice.

Invest in strong relationships.

And while Cece would absolutely have a conniption over that and immediately start warning about investing in the wrong people, it would be difficult to argue with a little chipmunk who had not only bagged the husband but also bagged the tips.

Yes.

Tips.

Because the wolf of a husband did not just bring in revenue. Somehow, against all expectations, he also managed to rake in additional Star Coins and secure a frightening number of discount offers.

How?

That night, just as Xavier had mentioned earlier, people really did need a lot of assistance.

From the actual guests seated at tables to those who could only look on with envy, everyone seemed to need help. And not just the kind most would have anticipated.

All the cadets had known the food would be good. Among all the different menu items they prepared, they undoubtedly thought a lot about the first day when the people they cared about would come. So naturally, they had a rough idea of how people would react to the food offered.

But unbeknownst to many, as part of the preparations involved in running a restaurant, Xavier, who had agreed to take on this area, had been up to his forehead trying to measure up to his little wife’s abilities while figuring out ways to ensure they end up with a positive bottom line.

Personally, he wouldn’t have minded if the endeavor barely broke even. After all, earning wasn’t the main purpose of why they were doing something this extravagant.

Unfortunately, his relentless money-grubber absolutely definitely would. And Luca would probably faint once the totals come out and they don’t look nearly as good as he imagined.

Xavier could already picture it. Delicate fingers clutching at his chest. Golden eyes dulling in horror as the totals appeared.

It would be a full-scale catastrophe.

So what would a responsible partner do?

Figure it out, of course.

And that was how the Imperial Crown Prince somehow ended up offering additional services.

In hindsight, he probably should have toned it down. At the very least, he could have rearranged things to minimize the chances of his face appearing even more on Star Net. But such was too late now. With everything in full swing, there was no way to take that back.

Then again, Xavier personally thought it was worth it. Kyle was undoubtedly frothing at the mouth after, but the Prince couldn’t help but enjoy the trade-off.

But just what was this all about?

As usual, it can all be traced back to one fright—knowledgeable little system who was brimming with suggestions born from the desire to see several dramatic exchanges.

Understandably, the concept made very little sense to most people. In fact, it almost made no sense to him either.

If not for Sid painstakingly explaining all the information he had unwittingly gained for having no choice but to stick with D-29, Xavier might not have truly grasped the real point of such services.

But thanks to the guardian mecha’s interpretative crash course, in the end, things had fallen neatly into place.

The seated guests were discovering the quiet elegance of a course meal. The picnic goers were marveling at how different food felt when eaten quite literally next to nature. Meanwhile, toward the end of the facility, the campfire diners were learning the joys of skewers and melted sweets.

Things were going just as planned, and one restaurateur felt it was the perfect moment.

It was just that... if he were ever going to do something like that, then the first person who should experience it would have to be his wife.

And so, to start it all off, Imperial Crown Prince Xavier Solaris walked.

__

Along a winding path that curved close to the crest of their man-made waterfalls, one very satisfied guild leader stood with his hands clasped behind his back, happily marveling at the scene below.

Laughter drifted upward. Voices overlapped. The warm, comforting scents of food carried easily in the misty air.

Luca felt extremely accomplished.

"Wow! You’re right, D-29," he said cheerfully, craning his neck left and right as if personally inspecting every single guest. "This really is the perfect place to watch over everything!"

They had endured an absurdly long day. His bones were tired, his head was buzzing, and sleep was calling to him with increasing insistence. And yet, somehow, he still had enough energy left to simply stand there and enjoy it.

His family and friends looked happy. His sworn brother had already told him the response from the expo attendees was overwhelmingly positive. And earlier, D-29 had quietly informed him that the numbers in the guild account had been climbing at a very nice pace.

Really.
