fe at the shop where they’ve always been, I replied.
“f***k, the one place I didn’t fu.cking look!” he growled.
“Everything okay with you?” I asked. “Not really like you to not look in such a simple place.”
“Yeah, fu.cking peachy,” he grumbled a reply. I could hear shifting around in the background before
he cursed under his breath. He must have found the books.
“You sure you’re okay?” I asked again.
“Fu.cking great! Stop askin‘,” he bit out.
Suddenly, my phone pinged in my ear. I pulled it away to see I had a text from Wraith, who was probably at the shop as well. Man’s a workaholic, but the tattoo shop is his baby.
Wraith: Nadine’s back.
Oh, sh.it, that explains a lot.
Nadine is War’s sister, the only club princess. She and Feral always had a thing, but tried to hide it. The only one who didn’t know was War. No one was about to say it to him either. He wanted to act all ignorant about it. He’s smarter than that, and we all knew it. Plus, Feral should have been the

one to tell him.

However, if you ask Feral, he’ll tell you that nothing has ever happened between them. Well, he’ll tell
everyone except me that. We’ve spent a lot of time together over the years and grown close. Close
enough to share secrets over drunken nights. Like how he took Nadine’s virginity, and then she was
gone the next day without a damn word. Blocked him on everything. Took his heart with her.
His words, not mine.
Or about how I was on my way to confess my teenage love to a girl I had been crushing on for
years, only to find out her parents had just died. Secret for secret. We never really talked about it
again. I did try to bring up Nadine a handful of times, especially since she never came back for the holidays. Just like how Feral casually tried to push me to Deidra a few times despite the fact that she had a boyfriend.
Nadine left five years ago when she was 18 and he was 25. She never came home, but she often called from what I heard. War never seemed to question why she never came back. I would ask Feral, but it never seemed like he knew either. I wasn’t sure if he just didn’t want to know or was purposely being kept in the dark.
I always like Nadine though. She was like the adorable little sister of the club. Even if she’s only a few years younger than me. Because I started school late and then was held back, we were in high school at the same time. She had a small group of friends. I even saw her try to talk to Deidra a few times, but I think Nadine thought my thorn didn’t like her. I’ll have to re–introduce them when we get back. Give Deidra a real friend.
“Heard Nadine’s back,” I said, almost forgetting I was on the phone.
“The f***k’s that matter?” he spat.
“Aren’t you gonna ask her why she left?” I asked casually.
“Are you going to finally confess your feelings to plant girl?” He replied angrily.
“If I say yes, will you ask Nadine?” I said, amused.
“f***k! If you get the balls enough to kiss that girl, then yeah, I’ll talk to Nadine.” He practically yelled
at me.
“I’m so glad you said that, because you’ll never guess who we ran into up here,” I told him.
“You’re sh.itting me,” he breathed out.
“And guess who was in my bed last night, doing just a little more than kissin‘,” I added with a laugh.
“You ran into your dream girl and fu.cked her already?” he asked incredulously.
“What? No, I said just a little more,” I replied, frowning. “But now you have to talk to Nadine, you

already made the wager.”
“I hate you, and I’m hanging up,” he said, ending the call before I could even take a breath.
My phone pinged again with another message from Wraith.
Claim
Wraith: Heard everything. I’ll hold him to it, but I’m 100% telling the twins about you and Plant
Girl.
Me: You can tell the whole club if you stop calling her that.
Wraith: Sh.it, you’re whipped already.
I ignored him and walked to the kitchen. Mom almost had breakfast done. Only her, Birdie, Rosie, and Waylen were up. The kids were in the living room watching cartoons and Mom and Birdie were
chatting by the stove.
“Mornin‘,” I greeted them.
“Morning honey,” Mom said.
“Hey, y’all think you could keep an eye on Waylen for a couple of hours today?” I asked then as I
poured myself a cup of coffee. “Deidra wants to go shopping for Christmas gifts.”
“Just the two of you, huh?” Birdie asked slyly.
“Yeah, just the two of us,” I replied, giving her a look before rolling my eyes.
“You two seem to be getting along well,” Mom commented.
“No kidding,” Birdie snorted. “This plan of ours is working wonderfully.”
I couldn’t help the smile that spread across my face.
“You should go see if she wants to have breakfast with us,” Mom suggested. “I think she’s an early riser, right?”
“I guess I’ll know if she answers the door or not,” I replied, setting my cup down before going back to my room. I could hear Mom and Birdie snickering, but I ignored them. The only care I had right now was seeing Deidra again, bringing her here, and making her feel like family.
I pulled on a dark blue long–sleeved shirt and my cut. I left my pajama pants on, but pulled on some socks. Then I was in the living room pulling on my boots while Waylen asked where I was going.
“Gonna see if Dra wants to join us for breakfast,” I told him and his whole face lit up.
“Tell her I really want her to come, and she will!” he said confidently.
“You got it, buddy,” I said, ruffling his hair. “Behave. I be right back.”
It was freezing out, so I rushed all the way to the tiny cabin Deidra was staying in. It’s a cute little

thing, and I noticed the hot tub on the back porch. You can’t see if from my cabin, but the door to
the back porch is off the kitchen. I noticed it yesterday and spent a good chunk of time wondering
how I could convince her to get in it naked with me
I shook the thoughts from my head as I walked up to the door. I can’t pop a boner right now. Not in
these. The last thing I need is Deidra answering her door to me standing there with a raging
hard–on first thing in the morning.
I rolled my shoulders, trying to control myself and knocked on the door. I possibly knocked too hard. It sounded more like I was pounding. Sh.it, maybe I shouldn’t have done that. I probably
scared the sh.it out of her. Now she’s going to me all pi.ssed when she anwsers-
Suddenly, the door ripped open, pulling me from my thoughts. And sending me right into the fu.cking gutter. My jaw went slack, and my mouth went dry as I took in the beautiful creature in front of me.
I very clearly woke Deidra up. Her brown curls were a mess around her head. She was still rubbing
sleep out of her eyes too. But what really got me was what she was wearing. Nothing but an
over–sized dark gray T–shirt. It falls barely to the middle of her thighs. Her legs and feet are
completely bare. Her ni.pples are hard and poking through the fabric from the cold air. My eyes drank in the sight.
So much for not having a boner when she saw me first thing in the morning.
“Brixton?” She asked in a sleepy voice. “Sorry, I overslept. Is it noon already? That’s so unusual. I
never sleep in that late. Or ever.” She rambled. “Brixton?” She asked again when I didn’t say
anything. “Are you alright?”
“Uh, y–yeah,” I said, shaking my head and trying to talk my d***k down.
“Well, come in, just let me change-”
“Actually,” I cut her off, but I did step inside, bringing out bodies closer. My chest brushed against
her as I shut the door. I leaned against it, trying not to gawk at her bare legs. What’s she wearing
under that? “It’s early still. Sorry that I woke you. We were wondering if you wanted to have
breakfast with us.”
“Oh,” she replied sweetly. “Uhm, I–I don’t know. Let me have a cup of coffee first.”
Then she turned around. Which was a mistake on her part. Deidra is a curvy girl. A perfect body if you ask me. I’ve always loved her a.ss though. She’s always been thicker on the bottom. And right now, it’s just barely sticking out from that flimsy little shirt.
My feet were moving before my brain could catch up. I was behind Deidra in a second. She was busy setting up the coffee maker, but paused when I put my hands on the counter on either side of her, boxing her in, staring down at her a.ss. It was a short pause before she pretended like I wasn’t

there.

“Lotus,” I whispered in her ear, brushing my lips against the shell of her ear. “I think now’s a pretty good time to fulfill my promise.”
Deidra’s breath hitched, and my body pushed into hers completely. I fought back a groan when I
felt her soft, warm body against mine. She gasped when she felt my co.ck hard against her back. I
grabbed her hands and put them on the counter in front of her.
“Don’t move them,” I warned her before gently moving my hands up her arms.
Dedira shivered, making my excitement grow. I was fu.cking gone in the head now. She smelled
too good. Felt too good. I wanted her so badly. Needed her.
And I was fu.cking excited to feel how wet she is for me.
