*Jaxon's pnt of view*
I was stunned awake by the sound of my phone ringing.
When I looked at the screen, Ana's name popped up, but I hesitated to answer.
When it kept ringing however, I figured to answer it.
"Ana?"
"Help." She whispered, her voice faint, and breathy.
"What? Ana, I can't hear you." I said, sitting up, slightly alert.
"Help me." She whimpered.
"Ana what going on?" I asked concerned when suddenly there was a loud boom, accompanied with Ana's scream!
"Ana? ANA?!" I yelled, not too sure what was taking place.
A sound that resembled a slap echoed through the phone, followed by Ana's voice as she screamed sharply in pain, as I heard sounds of struggle.
"Ana!" I screamed standing up, making my way downstairs, but the next thing I heard froze me mid-step.
"Hello Jaxon." His creepy voice alone made me see red.
"Stewart." I mumbled through gritted teeth.
"Quite a fighter, isn't she?" He muttered, as I could hear Ana hissing sharply.
They hurt her.
"Stewart I swear if you put your hands on-"
"You'll what? Shoot me? We've been that this road before, haven't we Ana?" He said cutting me off.
Suddenly my phone beeped, and I noticed it was a video call request from Ana's phone.
Though my heart ached to see Ana in that situation, I had to help her.
I accepted, and what I saw made my heart stop.
"Ana..." I whispered, as I took in the blood and tears that ran down her bruised red cheeks.
Her puffy eyes looked into the flash of the camera; I could tell she was in pain.
Suddenly, a hand gripped onto her hair and her head was pulled back sharply, she whimpered, and closed her eyes, as the figure standing behind her finally showed his face.
It was John.
"Hey asshole, remember me?" He greeted me, then he pulled Ana and landed a kiss on her lips.
She pulled away, like I expected her to, but then John out of anguish landed a harsh backhand to her face.
She whimpered, and my blood raged.
"Jaxon? What is going?" Came Sonya's voice behind me, but before I could hide the phone from her, her shocked gasped told me that she had already seen everything.
"Oh my God Ana!" She gasped placing her hand on her mouth.
"Jaxon?" She looked up at me, her eyes already glistening with tears.
"I know." I reassured her, as I placed my hand on her shoulder, then I said "lock the door, wake Marcell up, you don't leave this place, nor do you open the door to anyone. Don't do anything until you hear from me." I explained to her, then before anything else, I made my way out if the mansion.
"Where are you and what do you want?" I questioned Stewart.
"Meet us at the warehouse. Come alone, unharmed. If I even sense that the bald eagle is with you, one bullet, and your dear Ana will be no more." He said, and I was already on my way.
"Fine." Then just like that I hung up.
My hands gripped the steering wheel until my knuckles were white, and my wrists hurt from the tension.
I gritted my teeth, and my breathing was harsh from my parted lips.
If anything were to happen to Ana, I would never forgive myself.
Who would've thought it to be true? Me, Jaxon Terrace, the cursed bachelor, have finally fallen in love.
I screeched to a halt when I reached the warehouse.
I didn't waste a second to exit the car, making sure to stuff my trusty friend in my shoe.
"Yeah, no. No time for pleasantries. Take it out"
Suddenly Stewart's gun was behind Ana's head.
