The Silent Luna's Trial (Maple and Finn) novel Chapter 38

Sebastian’s Perspective

The night of the party had finally arrived, and my heart was pounding with a mix of excitement and nerves. I could almost feel the presence of my mate lingering nearby, a magnetic pull that made my chest tighten with anticipation.

“I’m so eager to meet her,” I confessed to my closest friends, Tristan and Paxton, my voice barely steady.

They exchanged knowing glances and nodded in understanding. “Yeah, man, I get it. I can feel my mate too,” Tristan said, his eyes shining with the same restless hope.

This was the moment we had all been waiting for, the one we had promised ourselves we’d honor. The three of us had made a solemn vow to wait for our true mates—unlike Cassian, who was notorious for his endless string of conquests.

Honestly, I felt sorry for whoever ended up with him. Maybe it would be my scandalous sister, Selene. They’d be a wild pair, no doubt. I loved Selene dearly, but she was nothing like Skyla—my sister’s best friend and the one who had captured my attention tonight.

Taking a deep breath, I stepped forward and pushed open the grand doors of the ballroom. The moment they swung wide, my eyes widened for two undeniable reasons.

My gaze drifted to my friends. Tristan had his arm wrapped protectively around Veronica, while Paxton was lost in a fiery kiss with Eliza. Nearby, Savannah stood proudly beside her mate.

Savannah, the eldest child of Alpha Mason, was destined to become the next Alpha. Her mate was an Alpha from a neighboring pack, and since neither wanted to forsake their responsibilities, they had agreed to unite their packs through this bond.

I felt a swell of pride and happiness. My best friends had found their mates—the future Beta and Gamma females of our pack—and I had found my Luna, the woman who completed me in every way.
