“Retired due to injuries?” Tyson froze for a second, thinking he’d misheard. He couldn’t help but ask, “Ms. Schofield, are you… are you sure you want to recruit ‘battle–damaged‘ personnel?”
“Of course!” Elizabeth nodded firmly, her tone carrying a sharp, pragmatic wisdom. “Sure, I’d love to recruit the strongest, the best, the ones still at their peak. But is that realistic? Would they even look twice at our little busted farm? These injured guys are different. They possess priceless experience; they’re just trapped by their wounds for now. And here, the one thing we don’t lack is time and… things that can help them recover!”
Tyson’s eyes lit up instantly. He was so excited he looked ready to jump.
He shot his hand up. “Ms. Schofield! I can recommend three people right now! They’re brothers who fought beside me through life and death. One has S–level mental power damage, and two are A–level. They were all badly injured in the line of duty, and life is tough for them right now!”
Tiffany and Melton exchanged a look, seeing the same flash of excitement and relief in each other’s eyes.
They raised their hands almost simultaneously.
Tiffany spoke rapidly. “Ms. Schofield, I also have two old friends in the military. One was a Starway jet fighter pilot who retired after severe mental power trauma. The other was an assault trooper in the ground forces. His mental collapse was even worse than what Melton and I went through…”
Melton added, “I can get a hold of three more. They’re all solid pros, forced out of the fleet because of severe mental power injuries.”
Ever since they joined Elizabeth’s farm and experienced the benefits, they had been longing to lend a hand to others who had fallen on hard times.
Originally, they had been agonizing over how to bring them to the farm without causing Elizabeth any trouble.
But now that Elizabeth had brought up the topic herself, they had no more reservations!
As Elizabeth listened to them reel off candidate after candidate, her eyes grew brighter. She beamed, clapping her hands repeatedly. “Good! Let’s do it! Go contact them right now! Don’t worry about the numbers–the more, the better! Tell them this. If they come to my farm, I can’t promise everything, but full meals, warm clothes, and a real shot at recovery are guaranteed! As long as they still have the will to fight, then I’ll provide them with a chance to pick up their weapons again!”

Burning with excitement and a sense of mission, the three turned and left immediately, leveraging their own connections to cast the first recruitment net for the farm’s future star- guard squad.
Watching their retreating backs, Elizabeth felt as if she could already see a fierce team- composed of ‘battle–damaged‘ elites–piloting mighty warships and escorting her cargo vessels as they soared freely through the interstellar world.
Hewitt Castle.
Jeremy gave Trevor and Zaylee a detailed report on the day’s events at the police station, as well as the aftermath when he had ferried Elizabeth around.
When they learned that Elizabeth had been at Mercury Plaza, running a street stall with a few children from Garbage Planet A001 to sell potatoes and sweet potatoes, both were visibly surprised.
“Running a stall? Selling potatoes and sweet potatoes?” Trevor’s thick brows furrowed. It simply didn’t match the wilful and arrogant image of Elizabeth from the investigation report.
Zaylee, however, looked pleased. “It seems that kid has a kind heart.”
They soon began to wonder where on earth those potatoes and sweet potatoes had come from.
They had already tasted the strawberries, potatoes, and sweet potatoes Elizabeth had sent them. The incredible flavor, combined with their miraculous ability to gently repair mental power damage, had left them stunned.
At first, they had all assumed these were farm produce developed by a high–end farm, something Elizabeth had put effort into buying as a gift for them.
If that was true, those farm products were valuable, but not beyond reason.
But now, that didn’t seem to be the case.
Once a miraculous crop like this hit the market, it would absolutely be priceless and impossible to find.
If Elizabeth had purchased them from someone else, how could she possibly have enough stock left over to resell at a street stall?
And from Jeremy’s description, it sounded like she had quite a significant supply.
Sharp by nature, a bold hypothesis rose in Zaylee’s mind. “Honey, Jeremy, do you think… those strawberries, potatoes, and sweet potatoes… could they have been grown by Elizabeth herself?”

Upon hearing this, Trevor almost instinctively shook his head in denial. “Grown by her? How is that even possible? The resources on Planet A001 are nearly exhausted. The soil is heavily polluted, and it lacks sunlight and stable water sources… Even the kingdom’s top agricultural experts, armed with the most advanced equipment, wouldn’t dare claim they could grow decent crops on a large scale there. Crops of this quality are out of question!”
Yet Jeremy echoed the very same guess Zaylee had made. “Commander, Mrs. Hewitt, I actually think the possibility that Mrs. Elizabeth grew them herself… is extremely high.”
“Oh? Why?” Trevor turned to look at Jeremy.
“On the way back to the spaceport, Mrs. Elizabeth asked me in detail about the requirements and process for establishing a private interstellar freight route,” Jeremy stated calmly. “She explained that she wants to build a private route connecting Planet A001 to the Kingdom’s main shipping lanes. The purpose may be to make it easier to sell the potatoes and sweet potatoes she grows in greater quantities and with greater convenience.”
