Chapter 180 Harvest Under Pressure

Once the serious matters were settled, Oliver licked his lips and put on a pitiful, almost puppy–like expression as he leaned toward his wife. “Honey, look, we’re going to be able to buy so much good food tomorrow anyway… So today… could we maybe just open the preservation cabinet a little early and… hehe… just have a taste? One sweet potato–no, half is fine!”
Little Tiana copied him exactly, wrapping her arms around her grandmother’s leg and tilting her small face up with watery eyes. “Grandma, Tiana wants it too… Just a little taste like Grandpa.”
Watching the identical greedy expressions from both old and young, Melinda felt both amused and helpless. The small irritation she had felt earlier at her husband’s impulsiveness had completely dissolved.
She deliberately put on a stern face, studying their expectant looks. After a few seconds, she finally couldn’t hold it in and broke into a smile. “Honestly, look at the two of you. No self–control at all.” She waved her hand gracefully. “Fine. Vaughn, go bring out the remaining sweet potatoes and strawberries from the preservation cabinet. Let them ‘have a taste.”
“Yay! Grandma is the best!” Tiana cheered happily.
Oliver was equally delighted, instantly lifting his granddaughter into his arms. “Let’s go, Tiana! Grandpa will roast sweet potatoes for you!”
Watching her husband carry the child toward the kitchen with joyful energy, Melinda shook her head with a soft laugh, warmth filling her eyes.
She was already thinking about how she would allocate tomorrow’s five thousand strawberries, potatoes, and sweet potatoes in a way that could satisfy this entire household of “greedy mouths.”
As for Elizabeth… When they first learned of her troubled reputation, none of them had thought highly of
her.
But unexpectedly, she was a child with real potential.
Planet A001, Tycoon Farm. Night had fallen, but the entire farm was brightly lit and buzzing with activity.
Originally, Elizabeth had only planned to bring about half of the farm’s output to the Centria Planet for sale.
After all, it had only been a day since her last stall. She worried the market wouldn’t be able to absorb too much at once, which could lead to unnecessary surplus.
But Zaylee’s call had been like a shot of adrenaline.
Not only were the Hewitts placing large orders themselves, but they had also introduced a group of high spending clients, which meant she didn’t have to worry about sales at all.
However, the only problem now was whether she had enough supplies.
“All personnel, attention! Stop all non–urgent work!” Elizabeth’s clear voice echoed through the farm’s

broadcast system. “Immediately assemble at the strawberry fields, potato zone, and sweet potato fields! Accelerate harvesting! Harvest all of the mature crops!”
At once, the entire farm shifted into high–efficiency operation.
Fiona immediately led the main workforce into the fields.
Under the lights, people bent over in steady rhythm, carefully picking bright red strawberries and digging up potatoes and sweet potatoes still coated in soil, yet releasing rich, tempting aromas.
Elizabeth herself went down into the fields.
She crouched down at a potato patch that was still about a day short of full maturity.
In one hand, she held an energy stone; the other rested lightly on the soil.
A pure, gentle surge of wood–element spiritual energy silently seeped downward, like the most efficient growth catalyst, nourishing the tubers beneath.
Visibly, the slightly undersized potatoes swelled rapidly, becoming plump and firm in seconds, reaching peak harvest condition.
She repeated the same process for part of the sweet potato fields.
“Quick! This section is ready for harvesting!”
“The sweet potatoes here too! Move faster!”
The workers, though surprised by the subtle acceleration of crop maturity, did not question it. Their trust in Elizabeth was almost absolute. Instead, they only worked harder, swinging their tools with greater
urgency.
Soon, the farm was filled with the sound of harvest. Baskets and sacks of strawberries, potatoes, and sweet potatoes were rapidly gathered, cleaned, packed, and stored in spatial storage units.
Yet at the edge of this bustling scene, a very different atmosphere lingered–heavy, tense, and uneasy.
Isaac, Monkey, and the group of former gang members–once lawless, later forcibly reformed under Elizabeth’s rule–were mechanically performing their assigned cleaning tasks.
Their eyes kept drifting toward the busy core area before quickly snapping back, faces filled with anxiety.
The reason was simple. They had overheard something the day Melton and Tiffany returned with a group of bloodied, injured men. The garbage recycling station was leaving Planet A001.
