Chapter 183 Assets, Not Abandonment
Finished
They were begging and pleading with Elizabeth relentlessly, humbling themselves for the slimmest chance of survival.
Elizabeth looked at the chaotic, desperate scene before her and tilted her head slightly, as if puzzled. “Abandon you?”
Her voice remained calm, carrying a trace of genuine confusion. “Why would I abandon my assets?”
“A–Assets?” Isaac jerked his head up, tears and snot still on his face, his expression blank as if he had just heard a word from another world.
Monkey and the others froze as well, their begging coming to a halt.
“Your lives belong to me, don’t they?” Elizabeth said evenly, as if stating something obvious. “I never make a losing deal. Why would I throw away my own assets? Do I look like I have too many stellar coins?”
Isaac’s mind went completely blank.
Stammering, almost unconsciously, he asked, “B–Boss… you mean… you’ll… take us with you?”
He stared at her, searching her face for any sign of the answer.
“Take you?” Elizabeth’s confusion deepened. “Go where?”
“Leave here!” Monkey rushed to explain, gesturing anxiously. “The recycling station is pulling out! The kingdom’s abandoning this planet! You… you’re definitely leaving too, right?”
Only then did Elizabeth understand the root of their conflict and the reason for their desperate pleas.
Her gaze swept over the faces filled with despair and a fragile sliver of hope, then flicked briefly to Scarface, who lay on the ground with venom in his eyes but his ears keenly alert. Her tone remained calm, yet carried an unshakable certainty. “Relax. As long as you behave, follow the rules here, and work properly, I guarantee you won’t starve.”
Those words were like a decree of pardon, instantly clearing the storm clouds weighing on Isaac and the others.
A surge of relief and overwhelming joy nearly made their legs give out. Some even began to sob quietly.
But Elizabeth wasn’t finished.
Her gaze shifted to Scarface and his companions, whose expressions had grown even uglier upon hearing her words. Her eyes turned cold like deep winter ice.
“As for you.” Her voice was soft, yet it sent an involuntary shiver through Scarface, Dom, and Fang, freezing them in place. “Insulting your employer, bullying your teammates, slacking off, spreading panic, resisting management with violence… it seems the last lesson wasn’t enough.”
Without another word, she raised her right hand, her slender fingers tracing a few effortless patterns in the air.

In an instant, a ring of intricate golden patterns flared to life on the ground beneath them!
The glowing lines flowed and intertwined like living things, forming a circular formation about ten feet wide, trapping the four men inside!
An invisible force field slammed down, pinning them in place so completely they couldn’t even twitch a finger!
“W–What the hell is this?” Dom stared in terror at the golden light beneath his feet, his voice cracking.
“I…I can’t move!” Fang struggled wildly, like an insect trapped in amber.
Scarface’s face drained of all color, a deep, instinctive terror rising from his very soul.
Elizabeth turned to Melton, who had just arrived, and said calmly, “Watch them. When they truly repent, then you can release them.”
The moment her words fell, the men inside the formation let out screams no human should be capable of.
“Ah! It hurts! My bones! My bones are being crushed!”
“Mercy! Boss! I won’t dare again! Please, spare me!”
“Kill me! Just kill me!”
An invisible force tormented them, as if countless red–hot needles were piercing their bones while unseen flames burned through their minds.
They writhed and convulsed, their faces twisted in unbearable agony, tears, snot, and saliva streaming uncontrollably, yet even losing consciousness was a luxury they could not have.
Their horrific screams echoed into the night, sending chills down every onlooker’s spine.
Isaac and the others watched, their faces white as a sheet. Just moments ago, these men had been arrogant and threatening to kill them all. Now they looked like they had fallen into hell itself, suffering something far worse than physical pain.
Their fear and reverence toward Elizabeth reached an unprecedented height.
