Finished
George stared blankly at the holographic screen, then looked up at Elizabeth, who still appeared completely calm.
A massive sense of unreality mixed with overwhelming joy hit his nerves. Even a seasoned patriarch like him, who had weathered countless storms, found himself speechless for a moment. His fingers trembled slightly as he counted those zeros again and again.
It was not a dream.
Two billion stellar coins had really been transferred into the Sharps‘ account.
Mercury Plaza had been sold. Sold to Elizabeth. Sold at a better price than expected and paid in full.
Paid in full, immediately.
“Mr. Sharp? The money should have arrived, right?” Elizabeth’s voice pulled him back to reality.
“It’s here! It’s here, it’s all here!” George nodded repeatedly, his voice shaking. “Kid… Elizabeth… I… I really don’t know how to thank you…”
“You letting me set up my stall for free back then was already a huge help. This is nothing,” Elizabeth said sincerely. “As for the follow–up handover of the plaza, I’ll leave that to you. I’ll send someone over later to coordinate with your team.”
“Don’t worry! No problem at all!” George thumped his chest in assurance, barely able to contain his excitement.
After ending the call with Elizabeth, George remained seated, unmoving for a long time, unable to come back to his senses.
He kept checking the account balance again and again.
He pinched his own arm hard. It hurt.
Not a dream.
Unable to hold it in any longer, he immediately called his son, Ryan Sharp.
The call connected quickly, and Ryan appeared on the holographic screen.
It looked like he was in his office. He seemed exhausted, his brows tightly furrowed, dark circles under his eyes. It was clear he had been overwhelmed dealing with the company’s financial situation and the sale of the plaza.

“Dad, what is it? I’m in the middle of preparing the final documents for signing with Seafarm Group tomorrow…” Ryan’s voice was hoarse and full of fatigue.
George tried to calm himself, but his tone still carried an unusual lightness. “Ryan, stop preparing the contract with Seafarm Group. We’re not selling Mercury Plaza to them.”
Ryan froze for a moment, then frowned even deeper. He thought George was getting sentimental at the last minute and patiently tried to persuade him. “Dad, didn’t we already agree on this? Why are you changing your mind now? You know the company’s situation. Final payments for several projects and bank interest are all due soon. We really need this money to keep things running. Seafarm Group may have harsh terms, but they’re the only buyer who can come up with this kind of cash right now.”
At that moment, Ryan’s office door was suddenly slammed open with a loud bang.
His finance secretary rushed in, looking panicked but also strangely excited. She did not even bother with formalities and shouted, “Mr. Sharp! Mr. Sharp! Something big just happened! The company’s main account just received a massive transfer of two billion stellar coins!”
“What?!” Ryan shot up from his chair, nearly knocking it over. “Two billion? Where did it come from? Did the bank make a mistake? Or…”
His first instinct was that it might be fraud or some kind of money laundering trap.
The secretary shook her head quickly. “No! The source is completely clear. It’s a direct transfer from a personal account. The sender’s name is Elizabeth Schofield!”
“Elizabeth?” Ryan was completely stunned.
He had heard that name from George before. She was the young Mrs. Hewitt who sold produce at the plaza, and George seemed to admire her.
But how could she possibly have two billion?
And why would she transfer it to the company’s account?
Could it be the Hewitts backing her?
But wasn’t she supposed to be out of favor with them?
At that moment, George’s voice came from the holographic screen, calm but carrying a hint of pride. “Oh, that two billion? Ryan, that’s the money from selling Mercury Plaza.”
Ryan whipped his head toward the screen, eyes wide. “Dad?! What did you just say? Don’t tell me you sold Mercury Plaza to Ms. Schofield? For two billion? And paid in full?!”
