"Why did you do that?" Ethan asked as soon as they got inside the car.
"Because I can," Alexander simply replied.
"You were going to get that dress for Linda for the upcoming annual Business Gala, and now you have everything delivered to your wife?" Ethan pressed, sounding quite annoyed and frustrated.
"Don’t get any stupid idea. This is nothing new. The clothes she has been wearing all came from my money."
"That’s not what I meant."
"I don’t care what you meant, Ethan. Linda could get another dress when the Gala neared. As for those ones, they are delivering them to my place." 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
Ethan wanted to respond but the angry look on his face made him swallow his words. He hated it when his decision was being questioned. Though he didn’t know why he did that, he guessed he wanted to show that brat that she couldn’t just mess with anyone.
"Any idea why your fiancèe was there?" Ethan smirked, changing the subject.
"No idea." Not that he cared. During his meeting with his supposed ’step-father’ this morning, he was told that George Steele was ready to marry off his daughter to him. That bastard really had no fear. He didn’t even care what would happen to his daughter especially after knowing his motive for revenge, he was still willing to sacrifice his daughter, just to gain control over his wealth. He was a coward, and he couldn’t wait to rip him off completely.
"You are meeting her tommorow... Will you really marry her though?"
"I don’t know. Her sister would leave in less than four months so I still need to decide."
Ethan smirk deepened.
"I think she would suit you more than her clueless sister."
"Clueless, you say. You don’t know her."
Ethan just hummed and focused on driving. They didn’t speak to each other after that.

I was sitting on the bed still waiting for Noura response. And as time went by, I got more and more impatient. Would she ever respond? I thought of calling her, but I couldn’t. She was anonymous. It made me wonder if she was even real in the first place.
Shortly, a knock came to the door and Ms. Rita entered.
"Madame, did you order for clothes?" She asked, and I shook my head.
I lay on the bed to sleep, but after some time I couldn’t sleep. So I climbed down from the bed and walked out of the room to the first floor.
When I got there, I collapsed on the couch to relax. It was much more peaceful here. I could hear the rush of water in the fountain, and the sound of the night breeze swaying past the bushes in the garden. It felt like heaven.
Suddenly, I caught sight of something on the table. It looked like a bank card... a Black one. Who could have owned it? Of course it was Alexander. Who else would it be? And he was stupid enough to drop that kind of card in a place like this? There was staff everywhere. Wasn’t him afraid that he might never seen it again? Or he just trusted everyone here? Well, It was his house anyway.
I tried to ignore it at first, but curiosity got the better out of me. He must have had enough money in there, so much that he wouldn’t notice if some were removed. Beside, the auction was tomorrow and even though Seith promised to help, I still had to be ready just in case. This was an opportunity I had been waiting for. I wasn’t a thief, I had never stolen from anyone my whole life, but Alexander clearly deserved it for the way he treated me, for all the traumatic event he had made me gone through. Taking his money wouldn’t be enough, he needed to suffer exactly what he made me suffer.
Getting out of the couch, I carefully took the card and rushed to my room.
All I needed was to typed on my mobile payment app the sixteen digit in front of the American Express card and the three digit behind it.
My hands shook and my heart pounded in my chest as I carried out the ordeal. All I could think of was getting caught in the act. He would kill me without battling an eye. But who cares. He would never found out, and even if he did, I would be long gone from him.
After trying for several times, it finally worked. I was able to make the transaction of about 80 million dollars. Wasn’t that too much? Not that he would notice. The card was limitless, and I was sure there were millions, if not billions in it. It was his business card after all, and he was the foolish one to drop it wherever he wanted.
With that, I made my way to the first floor again and dropped the card on the table, exactly how I found it.
