Mia tilted her head and thought about it.

’Yeah, that’s true. A normal girl would definitely be scared.’

Christian said, "Thea York really has it in for us, but Daddy and Mommy came on this trip, and the kindergarten teachers are here too. She wouldn’t dare cause too big of a scene. So, I’m guessing her way of ’teaching you a lesson’ will be to deliberately scare you."

"But Thea York won’t show her face. She’ll make Scott York do it."

Mia followed the logical progression. "The kindergarten will expel Scott York. To placate me, the Yorks will punish him. They might even just wash their hands of him and let him fend for himself."
