They were already married, and they had spent their wedding night together the previous evening. Everything that happened between them was only natural and inevitable
Riley could no longer shut herself off behind coldness and rationality as she used to do.
She steadied her emotions, turned her back to Sebastian, and slowed her hurried breathing.
Riley wanted to slip out quietly while he was still asleep and head back to her own room. She needed some alone time to sort out all these messy thoughts in her head.
She had barely shifted her body when the arms loosely wrapped around her waist tightened out of nowhere. Sebastian’s calloused fingertips brushed gently along her sides, pulling her firmly back into his warm, sturdy embrace.
Body heat passed easily between them, and every intimate moment from the night before flashed across Riley’s mind one by one.
Riley frowned in slight embarrassment and said, “You… You were just pretending to be asleep.”
Sebastian let out a lazy, satisfied hum right behind her.
He rested his chin softly in the crook of her shoulder and said in a low tone, “I noticed you staring at me. I didn’t want to break the moment.”
His voice held obvious delight, with a faint hint that he hoped to relive those tender moments once more.
Riley’s face burned even hotter.
She softened her tone and begged lightly, “Take it easy, Mr. Torres…I’m starving right now.”
Hunger was the perfect excuse to ease the awkwardness.
Sebastian let out a laugh.
He slowly pulled his arms away from her, yet his eyes still lingered on her, full of deep, unspoken affection.
Sebastian replied softly, “Got it. I’ll have breakfast sent over right away.”
Riley felt instantly relieved.
She grabbed a thin silk sheet to wrap around herself and hurried back to her bedroom in a fluster.
Water flowed steadily in the bathroom. Riley stared at her reflection in the mirror, seeing her still flushed cheeks and the faint, lazy look in her eyes, then let out a quiet sigh.
She had to admit, the side of Sebastian she saw last night completely broke all her past impressions of him.
After she freshened up and changed into casual clothes, she walked out of her room. A rich breakfast was already laid out in the dining area, and Sebastian was arranging tableware.
He looked up the second he heard her footsteps and said casually, “Good morning, Mrs. Torres.”
That simple title felt incredibly stirring, making Riley’s already cooled cheeks heat up all over again.

The sun shone brightly outside the window, and the clock had already ticked past eleven in the morning.
Servants quickly cleared the dining table once they finished eating.
Riley sat by the large floor–to–ceiling window, gazing out at the vast river scanery stretching far into the distance.
Sebastian walked over to stand beside her, his posture tall and straight. He glanced over at her and asked tentatively, “Is there any place you feel like visiting?”
Riley turned her head and looked at him in confusion.
She asked in puzzlement, “What does that mean? Are you planning to go traveling?”
A subtle emotion flickered across Sebastian’s brows.
He cleared his throat, his eyes drifting slightly as he said with a faint touch of discontent, “I mean our honeymoon.”
Riley’s heart skipped a beat.
The word honeymoon had always felt distant and unrealistic in her life.
She had never imagined the two of them would ever take such a trip together.
But Riley once planned to take a long break and travel to a brand–new place to relax once all affairs involving the Ashford family were fully settled.
His sudden suggestion lined up perfectly with her own idea.
Just as Riley was about to answer him, Sebastian added quickly, “You can pick any spot domestically or overseas. If you can’t decide, I also own a few private islands we can stay on, too.”
He made it clear that she could choose anywhere she wanted without any restrictions.
