“Are you okay?” Miro’s voice slipped into my head. I turned to lod him watching furiously on her phone

“What do you think?” I replied and then I took a deep breath, swallowing my emotions. Since I met Ryn, I hadn’t been able to do that. Now I need to be strong for her and for myself. 

I don’t want to feel right now or I’d do things I might regret. 

1 dialed her line again, and to my anger, worry, horror, I found switched off. 

So I called Adam. 

Yes, my Prince.” 

“Where are you?” 

“Packing up with the guys, about to head home.” 

“Good. Get as many men as you can, and find Ryn for me” 

There was hesitation on the other end. 

“Sir, with all due respect, I don’t think Ryn did what that girl blased her for. I mean why didn’t she say something all this while? Why wait for Ryn to get famous? Please, don’t hurt her.” 

I closed my eyes as it dawned on me that I never checked nor cared if Ryn was in the right or not. just cared if she was okay. 

“I’m not arresting her but I have a feeling she might do something stupid if I don’t find her in time.” 

“Will get right on it immediately.” 

The call ended and I began to pace the room. Then my eyes fell on the poisonous plant sent as a death threat to Ryn Why didn’t she tell me about it? Did the person who sent the threat get to Ryn already? 

Miro and Sadie approached me. 

“What kind of plant is that?” She asked. 

Suddenly, the door opened and I turned around hoping to see Ryn. Instead, it was the last person I ever wanted to see 

Chelsea 

“What are you doing here?” I gritted out. 

She folded her arms and pouted. “Your brother left me in the car for hours! I have been cooking in there!” 

“I don’t care. Get out!” 

Thurned in time to find Sadie stretching out her hand to touch the flower and I grabbed her wrist stopping her. 

Her eyes flew up to me in fright.

Chapter 188 

“Have you touched its before?” I queried and she shook her he frantically. 

“Good. That’s a hemlock plant. You should stay as far away from as possible.” 

“Did you just say hemlock plant?” Miro asked and when I nodded his eyes drifted behind me to Chelsea. 

I turned to see Chelsea’s face go from unhappy to mischievous. “Cops.” She smiled, venturing into the room 

Then it dawned on me. “You did this? You’re the one who’s been sending death threats?” 

Chelsea gave a nonchalant one shoulder shrug. “I just didn’t want the bitch to have any peace of mind.” 

In a flash, I reached for her neck but she evaded me, cackling out loud. Miro also blocked my way, reminding me via mindlink the oath that was taken. 

“I love it when you get feisty!” She grinned maniacally. “It turns me on.” She blew me a kiss. 

I took a deep raggedy breath, curling my hands into fists, 

“Who the hell are you?” Sadie asked, her lips lined in disgust. 

Before Chelsea could answer, I cut in. “She’s nobody.” I said, meeting Chelsea’s gaze. “She’s nothing.” 

Miro stepped out of my way and I took a step forward. “Leave now.” I snarled. “I don’t want Ryn to find out about you, yet 

“Find out about who?” 

My heart skipped a beat as I turned to the door and found Ryn standing there, with bloodshot eyes and a defeated look. Without thinking. I crossed the room in strides and pulled her in for a hug. Then, I inhaled the strawberries in her hair, and my wolf instantly calmed. 

I noticed Ryn didn’t hug me back and when I pulled back, I saw her eyes fixated on Chelsea. 

“What are you doing here?” She asked, stepping away from me to go to her but I held her back. “How are you still alive?!” 

“You know her?” Sadie asked. 

“Yeah. She’s the one who poisoned me.” 

“No wonder.” Sadie said, looking at the hemlock plant. “She’s the one who’s been sending death threats.” 

Ryn turned to me, her bloodshot eyes wild with fury. “Did you hear what Sadie just said? Why are you not arresting her?!” 

“Awwww poor girl.” Chelsea pouted, sauntering towards me. “He can’t arrest me.” She said, running her left hand–over my chest so Ryn could see her wedding ring. “How can he arrest me when I’m his wife?”
