Chapter 738 Harrance Survived
Theresa finally recognized him beneath all the grime and the rags he was wearing.
Wasn’t he the scumbag Harrance?
“You’re not dead yet?” she asked in a deadpan.
Harrance fell silent.
He had been lucky, extraordinarily so.
He had been fortunate to escape the second zombie outbreak at the East Sea Camp. He had definitely been blessed to survive Clara’s sudden transformation into a zombie.
He had been fueled by nothing but sheer determination as he crossed wild terrain for months. He travelled through storms, endured starvation, and countless hordes big and small.
He would stick his tongue out to drink the rainwater when he was thirsty and would eat anything that wasn’t zombie flesh. Anything he could get his hands on, like tree bark, roots, the occasional scrap of food, or tiny critters, was his meal.
lthough the world was harsh, it wasn’t as deadly as a true famine. As a result, it was enough to rep him going.
And so, he made it all the way from East Sea Camp to the Blazing Sun Alliance by grit and an odd sort of miracle.
“How is Lily? Is she okay?” Harrance pressed urgently, his eyes burning with desperation.
“And where’s your mistress?” Theresa asked, not giving him a straight answer.
Lily was here and alive.
She was one of Theresa’s most capable subordinates. During the final battle, she orchestrated several key defense operations and managed the entire rear command flawlessly. She even managed to keep everything running smoothly within the Blazing Sun Camp despite it all.

Theresa had many talented people under her, but few were good leade great when it came to firepower. Elias was a support through and throug temperament to match. He wouldn’t be a good fit when it came to a major leadership role.
Emma and Landon were out of the question. Hence, only Lily had the when Theresa wasn’t present.
Lily could lead and fight. She really was a rare talent.

Chapter 738 Harrance Survived
Theresa had even been planning to promote her by adding her to the guard roster.
However, she first had to deal with Lily’s worthless ex–husband.
Harrance froze upon hearing Theresa’s question. Then, he frowned and answered, “She’s dead.”
“Is that right? So, you’ve finally remembered how good you had it with Lily now that she’s dead? Is that it?” Theresa barked coldly.
“No!” Harrance blurted. “I decided to find Lily before East Sea Camp fell. I decided to come here long before Clara transformed. I didn’t make that decision because of those losses.”
“That’s enough. No one will believe you anyway.”
Harrance stopped short at her disparaging remark.
Did she have to be this harsh?
He looked at her pleadingly, his lips trembling. “Please… please let me see Lily. Call me whatever you want, mock me, scold me—I don’t care. I just want to know if she’s okay. Please….. just let me see her.”
nfortunately or fortunately for him, Theresa was a ‘kindhearted‘ person.
her, there were only two types of beings–humans and zombies.
Harrance was human. So, she wouldn’t toss him out of her gates. After all, that decision would only end with him joining the horde and risking the safety of humanity.
Although murder was on the table, she wouldn’t do it to him. He wasn’t a monster like those lunatics from the Starborn Order. No, this guy was just morally decrepit.
This cheating scum didn’t deserve death.
Besides, he’d managed to crawl all the way to the Blazing Sun Alliance on his own. So, she knew that she couldn’t stop him forever, even if she did bar him from her gates.
Plus, Lily had the right to know and the right to choose.
“You know what? Fine,” Theresa said. “I’ll notify her about your presence. If she wants to see you, she will. If she doesn’t, then that’s not my problem.”
Harrance immediately started groveling. “Thank you, Ms. Hall!”
“Stop. Don’t do that.” She kicked him aside. His gratitude wasn’t worth anything in her eyes.
