After Theresa finished outlining how the researchers were to be handled, Herold brought up. another matter.
“There’s one more thing.”
“What is it?”
“We’ve found traces of Sage.”
Theresa’s voice immediately became sharp. “Where is he?”
“We don’t know his exact current location, but I found records of his ID being used at the previous site of the Production Company, along with a photo of him.”
He took out a photograph.
It was taken by the facial recognition system at the company’s main entrance.
The man in the photo was dressed in a suit. His hair was neatly slicked back and tied into a low ponytail. A pair of gold–rimmed glasses framed his eyes. But his once gentle and refined features were now marked by a long scar that ran across his face.
Fortunately, he was still strikingly handsome. Even the long scar could not diminish his appearance. If anything, it tore open the gentlemanly mask he always wore, exposing a sliver of the madness lurking beneath.
He was smiling into the camera, as if he knew someone would see it.
It was practically a wave, meant only for her.
It’s Sage!
He’s still alive!
“The personnel and supplies at the Production Company were completely emptied,” Herold reported. “I suspect he went there and took everything–and everyone–with him. I tried contacting the surrounding areas, but unfortunately received no response. I don’t know where he took them.”
Theresa studied the photo of Sage, a small smile spreading across her face.
“If he’s alive, then we’ll surely meet again.”

After making sure everyone was settled, she stayed to have lunch with Tania and Herold.
Following lunch, the discussion took a serious turn as they focused on the direction of the research on the zombie virus.
The next step in her plan was to begin fully eliminating the zombies worldwide.
The so–called “zombie evolution” was meaningless without the Starborn Order.
If the zombies could only rely on their natural evolution speed, their progress was painfully slow. They could barely increase their level by even one.
The more she thought about it recently, the clearer the situation became: The reason humanity had been mercilessly tormented by the zombies in her previous life–perishing without any real chance to fight back–was that the Starborn Order had secretly been boosting and enhancing them.
Without that insane organization, they were never a match for humans.
After all, they were merely moving corpses.
Now that the initiative had returned to humanity, Theresa was ready to launch a full counterattack.
The scales had already tipped decisively toward humans after the previous battle.
At this point, nothing could stop the revival of humankind.
She ordered the research institute to mass–produce Zombie Mobility Inhibitors for the battlefield.
She also had the engineers and mechanics under Hugo work overtime to produce weapons.
Factory workers across the alliance were assigned to weapons and warship manufacturing.
The Blazing Sun Alliance quickly entered a stage of accumulating firepower and preparing for the next strike.
Spring arrived in the blink of an eye.
By the time the warships were nearly completed, the mass production of weapons and Zombie Mobility Inhibitors was in full swing, and the strategic reserves were overflowing with resources -Theresa realized it was also a day of celebration for the alliance.
It was the 6th of March, an auspicious day for marriage.

She had chosen the date long beforehand.
A total of 380 couples had signed up to be married on that day.

Each couple had clawed through countless life–and–death struggles just to reach this moment.
And now, the long–awaited day had finally arrived.
It was a day when the entire alliance buzzed with joy!
Inside the Blazing Sun Camp.
A young girl sat before a vanity mirror, dressed in a pure white, strapless, princess–style wedding dress.
A small crowd surrounded her.
“Wow! That’s Amelia for you! She’s absolutely gorgeous!” Julian exclaimed, stunned by Amelia in her wedding dress.
“Of course, she’s beautiful! She’s the bride!” The makeup artist laughed.
The bride in question was Amelia Blake, one of Landon’s subordinates.
Landon and Julian were here, standing in her family’s stead.
