The Unshackled King (by David Wu) novel Chapter 52

Stefan remained unfazed by the rumors; they simply didn't weigh on his mind.

"That young heiress from the Stewart family is quite fortunate to be engaged to you," Nina remarked with a smile, her expression brightening as she chatted and dined with Stefan.

Their conversation flowed so naturally that over an hour slipped by unnoticed.

As their meal drew to a close, Nina produced a card and handed it to Stefan. "Here, Stefan—the card holds 100 million dollars. As promised."

"Excellent!" Stefan accepted it without hesitation, then smiled, "I have a gift for you as well."

"Oh?" Nina's eyes lit up with curiosity, her gaze fixed intently on him. "What is it?"

Stefan retrieved a folded piece of paper from his pocket and passed it to her.

Unfolding it, Nina found a herbal prescription listing various ingredients and their precise weights in grams.

"What's this?" she asked, puzzled.

Having finished his meal, Stefan lit a cigarette and explained calmly, "Take this prescription, prepare it as directed, and consume it twice daily. Complete three seven-day cycles, and the hidden ailment you've carried from your martial training will be fully healed."

Nina's eyes widened in shock. "How did you know about my condition?"

Janet, too, stared at Stefan in astonishment.

Within the Reed family, only a handful of people—no more than three—were aware of Nina's training-related health issue. How could Stefan possibly know?

Stefan chuckled softly, "I detected it that day at Seabar Tower, while I was helping you neutralize the aphrodisiac in your system."

"I see..." Nina murmured, realization dawning. Then, a thought struck her. "So you're skilled in medicine as well?"

"I know a little," Stefan replied modestly—a calculated understatement. In unfamiliar surroundings, discretion was wise.

Nina's excitement grew. She could tell Stefan was being humble; anyone capable of diagnosing her condition at a glance and prescribing a cure clearly possessed extraordinary medical skill.

Over the years, she had consulted numerous renowned physicians, yet none could offer more than temporary relief.

Stefan's assurance of a full recovery within three cycles spoke volumes about his ability.
