HANNAH’S POV: 

We told the twins at dinner. 

Andrew went very still and his fsce showed how surprised he was and Amelia made a sound that started low and rose considerably. They couldn’t hide their joy. 

“Three,” she said. 

“Yes, three,” Elijah confirmed. 

“At the same time,” she said. 

“Generally how triplets work,” Andrew said, having completed his initial processing and returned to the factual.” We are having more siblings to play with.” 

Amelia turned to him. “We are going to be outnumbered soon.” 

“We are already two,” Andrew said. “Three more makes us five. The two of us have been operating as a unit for eight years. We have a significant strategic advantage, now that we are going to be the older siblings, we are going to be on our best behavior.” 

“We need to coordinate on our new siblings,” Amelia said. 

“I already have ideas,” Andrew said. 

They looked at each other in that twin way and Elijah looked at me across the table. 

“Are they planning against us already?” I said. 

“You just carry my siblings and once they are here we will take care of them,” Amelia said. 

“No, I am the father so it’s my duty and not yours princess.” Elijah argued. 

Amelia burst out laughing. 

And then we were all laughing, all four of us at the dinner table, the twins were going to be the eldest of five and my new company building had my mother’s name on its heritage wall and Adele had seventy percent of everything Mirada had been owed and Aldric Voros was in prison where he deserved to be. And I was carrying three more people who were going to come into this family and be loved in every enormous way. 

I looked at Elijah and he looked at me. 

Andrew and Amelia were already leaning toward each other in the way they did when they were planning something, voices low, Amelia gesturing with her hands while Andrew nodded with the nod of someone who had thoughts. 

“We have three years on all of them,” Amelia was saying. “We know the house, we know the systems and we have significant first-mover advantage.”
