A Night That Wasn’t His
HANNAH’S POV:
A few days later:
“Everything is set and you look fabulous!” Maya complimented staring at me in awe and I smiled brightly at her, staring at myself in the mirror.
Tonight was the celebration of one of the most popular banks in the country, as it was celebrating it’s 50th anniversary. It was an exclusive party with a few bankers, investors, tycoons, and I wasn’t aware of the party until I received a call from Roman. He begged me to be his plus one, listing out how it could benefit me.
Networking with people who could actually push my company further.
Pitching to higher investors.
A good night out with amazing company, a buffet and ravishing wines to choose from.
Entertainment and life changing talks and conversations.
After he was done listing it all out, I thought to myself it wouldn’t be that bad after all, especially after he added that he would be respectful and after all we were just going as friends.
As soon as I accepted his invitation, I received a delivery package and it was a beautiful wrapped box containing one of the most beautiful gowns I wish I had designed. It was an all-white party so he had gotten me a dress that hugged my body like it was designed just for me. The gown was a long sleeved off shoulder gown with a soft material that hugged my curves and body beautifully. I was inspired, and in complete admiration for the designer’s work. 1
My hair fell in neat curls over my shoulders, and I’d gone for subtle, glowy makeup natural, but radiant. I stared at myself impressed.
