The Villainess Needs a Hug (Ivy Windsor) novel Chapter 965

Ivy listened, her face flashing sheer disbelief.

"What, do you disagree?" Dr. Ludwig asked immediately, noticing his wife's indescribable expression.

"No, I just think... you're making quite a massive sacrifice for your internet followers," Ivy teased.

Jamison chuckled. "You've got it backward. I'm obviously doing this for you, and just educating the internet as a bonus."

"Oh please, you're obviously doing this for your own convenience. Don't think I don't know," Ivy muttered, shooting her husband a highly meaningful side-eye.

"..." Left utterly speechless, Jamison started tickling her waist, making her laugh hysterically.

"What are you doing? Did I strike a nerve? Feeling embarrassed?"

"I'm doing this for both of us. So you never have to worry about an unexpected pregnancy, and so we can have a much better experience..." Jamison explained between intensely passionate kisses, the two of them laughing and tangling in the sheets.

"Stop it, it's getting dark. We really need to go home," Ivy murmured softly, begging for mercy.

"No rush. We need to make the most of our time. I'll be recovering for the better part of a month after this."

"..."

Ivy was speechless, finally realizing why her husband had rushed straight here from the airport. He was apparently planning to fulfill the next three weeks' quota in advance.

Blushing furiously, she pinched his waist, scolding him playfully. "Do you not care about your health at all? You're getting older, stop acting like you're still in your early twenties!"

"Getting older? Are you sick of me being an old man already?"

"Haha, no... It's just a fact. I'm reminding you to take care of yourself."

"I think you just think I'm too old! Has some young pretty boy at the company been trying to win your favor?"

"Of course not! Everyone knows you're a massive jealous type. The male employees don't even dare to look me in the eye."

"Hmph, they know what's good for them!"

"..."

The next morning, as Ivy was busy leading an early meeting, her WhatsApp pinged with several consecutive notifications.

Once the meeting concluded, she took a sip of water to relax and picked up her phone. She nearly spat her drink straight across the room!

Katrina, Davina, and Sophia had all sent her short video links. Clicking on them, she saw that they were from different platforms but covered the exact same content—footage of Jamison being incredibly affectionate with her at the airport yesterday.

Katrina: [You two are showing off your romance all the way to the airport. You've been married for years and you're still this romantic. It's making me jealous!]

Davina: [Jamison is getting more and more shameless as the years go by. *smirk*]

Sophia: [Dr. Ludwig must have been so thirsty! Couldn't even wait to leave the airport. Some netizens even caught you two making out in the car afterward.]

After watching the clips, Ivy buried her face in her hand, too mortified to face anyone.

And yet, once the thought took root, it began to sprout wildly, growing stronger by the minute.

That night, right before bed, Ivy voluntarily snuggled into Dr. Ludwig's arms.

Jamison was still reading an article on his phone. Seeing his wife slide over and stare at him with bright, pleading eyes, he knew she had something to say. He glanced over and asked, "What is it?"

"I need to discuss something with you."

"Alright, tell me."

"Listen... Floyd and Denis are getting older. We barely have to worry about them anymore. I mean, sure, they're a bit mischievous, but that's just how boys are... Don't you think our lives have gotten a little dull lately?" Too scared to get straight to the point, Ivy laid down a massive runway of preamble.

Jamison caught on immediately. Putting his phone down, he looked at her. "What exactly are you trying to say? Don't tell me you want to have another baby?"

Ivy stared at him with wide eyes, not saying a word, but nodding furiously like a woodpecker.

Jamison shot it down without a second of hesitation. "Dream on! Don't even think about it!"

"Oh, come on... just think about it! That surgery... just delay it for a bit, okay?" Ivy continued to campaign.

Seeing that his wife wasn't joking, Jamison turned to face her, his expression deadly serious.

"Didn't we reach an agreement on this a long time ago? Two kids are enough. Pregnancy is incredibly hard on the body, and your constitution is different from a normal person's. Why take that risk? We might not have a biological daughter, but isn't having a goddaughter the same? Lily lives right downstairs and is basically in our house every day. How is that any different from raising one of our own?"
