The Villainess Needs a Hug (Ivy Windsor) novel Chapter 967

Ivy obviously knew that, but boys and girls were different, and she was worried her best friend would get the wrong idea.

Katrina continued, "You're overthinking it. I'm a highly educated professional; I don't exactly have an archaic mindset. Denis is completely right. It really is better to start this kind of education early so they know exactly how to protect themselves."

Ivy let out a breath of relief. "I'm glad you see it that way. I was worried this little rascal didn't have a filter..."

"Not at all. I've encountered plenty of similar cases in my legal work. When it comes to this, education is way better than suppression. They can only protect themselves if they actually understand what's going on. Denis made an excellent point."

Thanks to Katrina's repeated intervention, Ivy stopped scolding her sons. The two brothers had conveniently just finished their meals, set down their silverware, and excused themselves from the table.

Katrina continued helping her daughter eat, turning back to her best friend in between bites to ask, "If you guys seriously want another one, you should hurry up and do it while you're still young. I know you said you were done having kids, but people change their minds. It's totally normal."

"We're not having another one..." Ivy shook her head, her tone listless. "I asked him, and he shot me down immediately. Said it was absolutely impossible."

"Oh really? Dr. Ludwig is definitely just worried about your health."

"Yeah, he is. Plus, my company is just getting off the ground, and I'm swamped every day... Thinking about it realistically, it's not the right time anyway." Ivy had officially given up on the idea.

Katrina offered some comfort. "Just wait another year or so. Once the company is running smoothly, if you still feel the same way, you can consider it then."

Ivy offered a bitter smile and shook her head. "There's no chance."

"Why not?"

Ivy glanced at her goddaughter. Seeing the little girl entirely focused on her food and oblivious to their adult conversation, she leaned close to Katrina's ear. "He got a vasectomy today. The permanent kind."

"What?" Katrina looked shocked. "So is he stuck at work tonight?"

"He's resting at the apartment. He said he can't see me for a few days."

"Why?"

"Ahem..." Ivy cleared her throat, blushing intensely again. "Well, he just had the surgery, so he can't be... stimulated. He said if he comes home and sleeps in the same bed as me, it'll be hard to avoid... ahem. So he's staying at the apartment for a few nights."

"Ooh—" Katrina understood instantly, wiggling her eyebrows with an incredibly suggestive smirk.

"Anyway, there's zero chance now. I've completely killed the idea," Ivy sighed again.

The moment Floyd and Denis saw their father, they walked right up and asked, "Dad, did you and Mom get into a fight?"

Jamison was confused. "Why would you ask that?"

"You haven't dared to come home for days, and Mom's been walking around like a ticking time bomb. The two of us have been dodging lightning strikes every day."

Hearing her sons complain about her, Ivy's eyebrows shot up, fully prepared to start scolding them. Thankfully, Jamison quickly walked over and began coaxing her. "Alright, stop getting so angry all the time. It's bad for your health. Aren't you just upset because I said no to having another baby?"

"You know why, so why ask!"

Jamison pulled his wife into his arms, patting her gently as he continued his soothing. "I'll say yes to anything else you want, just not this."

"Except for this, there's nothing else I need you to say yes to."

"But there's nothing we can do about it now. I've already had the surgery, and the results are excellent."

Ivy glared at him, shooting daggers with her eyes. "Careful you don't end up impotent! You'll be crying in regret!"
