Chapter 107

Outside, Damon moved like a force of nature.

The open ground around the villa had turned into a battlefield. Bounty hunters advanced in waves, all chasing the same prize-a billion-dollar target.

Lila.

Damon intercepted them one by one, precise and ruthless, his focus unshaken. Every movement was calculated, every strike efficient. No one got past him.

Inside, Mark was fighting a different war.

Lines of code flooded the monitors as he worked to intercept, penetrate, and erase every trace of Lila’s bounty from the dark web-all while reinforcing the defenses of both Blackthorne and Integer Technology

systems.

“They’re pushing back hard,” Mark muttered, typing rapidly. “Multiple breach attempts-trying to recover the post.”

Damon’s voice came through the comms, calm but firm.

“Send an SOS to the Blackthorne base. Now.”

“Copy that,” Mark replied instantly, triggering the alert.

Back inside the villa-

Lila stood quietly in the corner, her breathing steady despite the chaos outside.

Then-

A sound.

The back door.

Someone was coming in.

Her eyes sharpened.

Without thinking, she reached for the gun nearby and checked the magazine. Her fingers moved smoothly, instinctively-like muscle memory she didn’t even realize she had.

She froze for a second.

How do I know how to do this?

No time.

The door handle rattled-then burst open.

A masked man forced his way inside.

Lila didn’t hesitate.

She pulled the trigger.

:

The shot rang out, hitting the man in the shoulder. He staggered back with a grunt.

Lila immediately dropped low, grabbing a tear gas canister and tossing it toward him.

Smoke burst into the air.

The man lunged blindly through it—

At the same time, outside-

Damon heard the gunshot.

His head snapped toward the house.

“Lila-”

Without hesitation, he rushed inside.

Through the haze of tear gas, he saw her-

Struggling with the masked man.

The attacker raised a knife.

Damon moved instantly.

He stepped in front of Lila just as the blade came down-

Taking the hit.

A sharp sound of impact.

Damon didn’t even flinch.

He grabbed the attacker, throwing him aside with force before slamming the back door shut and locking it.

Lila stumbled back, eyes wide.

“Damon-!”

He turned to her, breathing steady despite the injury..

Then, unbelievably-

He smirked.

He glanced at the attacker on the floor.

“Oh… I forgot to tell you,” Damon said, his voice low and almost amused despite the chaos, “my woman isn’t ordinary.”

“Oh well.”

Lila stared at him, her heart racing-not just from fear, but from something deeper.

Because in that moment—

Nothing about this felt unfamiliar anymore.

Before sunrise, backup finally arrived.

Blackthorne forces moved in with precision, securing the entire perimeter. The remaining bounty hunters had either fled or been captured. The chaos of the night was quickly erased-vehicles removed, traces wiped, the villa restored as if nothing had happened.

As if the night had never turned into a battlefield.

Damon had held it.

Inside, the tension finally began to ease.

Mark leaned back in his chair, exhaling deeply for the first time in hours. The monitors still glowed in front of him, lines of data stabilizing as the last traces of the bounty post disappeared.

“I’ve got it…” Mark muttered, eyes narrowing as he traced the origin point one final time.

He tapped the screen, bringing up a map.

“It’s coming from Blackthorne Industries… Wago City,” he said. “Specifically-Foster Technology.”

Damon’s gaze darkened slightly at the name, but he said nothing.

Across the room, Lila carefully attended to Damon’s wound. The knife had cut deeper than he let on, and blood had soaked through his shirt. Her hands moved gently, cleaning and pressing against the injury.

“Hold still,” she murmured.

Damon watched her quietly, something soft flickering in his eyes despite the pain.

Mark stood and walked over, grabbing the first aid kit.

“Let me handle that,” he said.

Before Damon could protest, Mark took over-his movements efficient, but far less gentle.

Damon immediately winced.

“Lila…” he complained, reaching out and lightly holding her hand, “your brother is not as gentle as you.”

Lila blinked, caught off guard, then almost smiled despite everything.

Mark scoffed. “You got stabbed and you’re worried about gentleness?”

“Yes,” Damon said flatly. “Because I prefer to survive the treatment too.”

Mark tightened the bandage just a little more than necessary.

Damon hissed slightly.

“That’s for dragging her into this,” Mark muttered.

Damon shot him a look-but didn’t argue.

Instead, his grip on Lila’s hand tightened just slightly.

“You handled yourself well,” he said softly, looking at her. “That wasn’t luck.”

Lila hesitated.

“I… I didn’t even think,” she admitted. “My body just moved.”

Damon nodded slowly.

“Because you remember,” he said. “Even if your mind hasn’t caught up yet.”

Silence settled briefly between them.

Mark tied off the bandage and stepped back.

“You’re not dying,” he said. “Unfortunately.”

Damon smirked faintly.

“Disappointing, I know.”

But his eyes shifted back to the screen-the map, the location, the name.

Foster Technology.

His expression hardened.

“This isn’t over,” Damon said quietly. “Someone inside my own company is playing a much bigger game.”

Mark crossed his arms.

“Then we find them,” he said.

Damon nodded.

And this time-

It wasn’t just about taking down a bounty.

It was about war from within.

During lunch, Damon couldn’t hold back. The longing, the ache that had been building for months, pressed him forward.

Before she could protest, he gently but firmly guided her into the room, shutting the door behind them. The quiet thud of the lock echoed softly.

Lila froze, startled, but didn’t resist. There was a strange pull in his presence-an intensity she couldn’t explain.

“I miss you,” Damon whispered, voice low and strained, carrying the weight of months of fear, grief, and longing. “I miss you… painfully.”

Lila stayed still, lying back slightly, listening to every inflection, every motion of his voice. Is this really him? she wondered. Could this man truly be my husband?

Damon stepped closer, his hands cupping her face. The touch was gentle, familiar, and in that moment, something shifted.

For the first time, Lila could see clearly-the man she had been dreaming of every night. The warmth, the embrace, the safety—it wasn’t just a dream.

“They told me you were dead when I woke up,” Damon said, his voice cracking slightly. “Can you believe it?”kissing every inch of her, every mole that in her body, savouring her sweetnes and wetness.

Lila’s lips trembled. Her mind raced, memories hazy but emotions raw.

“They told me you’re a bad man…mmm…that you cheated on….mmmm…me… that I’m trying to divorce you…haaaa..,” she murmured, words spilling out.

Everytime she speak a soft and low moan escape from her mouth, she wrap her arm around him taking what he gave.

Damon’s hands tightened slightly on her face, holding her steady, anchoring her.

“No,” he said firmly, his gaze locking onto hers. “You’re not trying to divorce me. You’re just… throwing

tantrums.”

He leaned closer, voice low but unwavering. “Forget about the divorce. Okay?”

A pause.

“You will never get away from me,” Damon continued, the words almost a vow.

Lila’s breath caught. The storm of confusion, fear, and lingering doubt tangled inside her-but beneath it all. a thread of recognition remained.

“Filthy dog,” Lila whispered, her voice low, teasing-but laced with something more.

Damon chuckled, a deep, throaty sound that vibrated through the room.

And then he closed the space between them completely, devouring her presence with his intensity-the way only he could. Every look, every touch, every movement said one thing: nothing and no one would come between them again.

“Whoever planned to separate us….” Damon murmured, his voice dark, almost a growl, “…will pay. They will regret it. I will not show mercy.”

Lila felt the raw heat of his resolve, the certainty that he would protect her at any cost.

Her heart raced-not from fear, but from the undeniable power of knowing that the man she had dreamed of, the one haunting her nights, was finally here. And he would never let her go.

Outside the room, the world continued unaware of the storm that had just erupted behind the closed door. But inside, in the quiet tension of the villa, something irreversible had shifted.

Damon Blackthorne had returned to claim what was his.

And anyone who dared interfere would feel the full weight of his wrath.
